Acne management is not just about getting rid of the pimples you can see today.

And when I say “understand what’s contributing to your acne,” I don’t mean there’s always one specific thing causing it.

Acne is multifactorial. It has no cure. Hormonal changes, oil production, clogged follicles, inflammation, genetics, medications and other factors can all play a role.

This is why a skincare consultation is very important.

Before adding another Korean hydrating toner, serum or acne fighting product to your routine, we need to understand what your skin is actually dealing with, kind of acne, what you’ve already tried, and what your skin needs.

And there’s another part of acne management we don’t talk about enough which is maintenance.

Clearing your acne is not necessarily the end of treatment. Acne can recur, so once we get the skin under control, the goal is to maintain those results and reduce the reoccurrence of new breakouts while also addressing the pigmentation or scarring left behind.

So the goal isn’t

How do I clear my acne as quickly as possible?

It is

How do I get my acne under control and try to reduce the breakouts I often get?

Be honest! what’s the first thing you usually do when you notice a new breakout, change your skincare routine, buy a new product, or leave it alone? 👀
