Indiana chose violence. Volence in the form of a 40-year record setting blizzard, below freezing temparatures, an utter lack of sunlight, and piss-poor driving conditions; so I chose peace. Peace in the form of sandy beaches, sky blue seas, sunshine, sunsets, and much-needed family time.

'21 in retrospect

Fitness:
Got a tad bit stronger but probably lost some endurance (still suck at workouts in the 18 to 30mins time domain). Gymnastics was meh...

Running got better but I could never figure out my nutrition on race day so performances were subpar

Business:
Trippled the real estate portfolio but now need to change property mangament and systemize processes a bit better.

Familia:
Borders finally opened up long enough for my folks to come visit, but, for the 2nd year in a row I wasn't able to spent Christmas with the fam. 2 years without seeing my asshole siblings. But hey, everyone is alive and well, just need to call em a bit more.

In summary, loads of improvements to be made, but a whole more to be thankful for,

Ever wondered how to propose to the love of your life proper?

How about you do it with a pear-shaped diamond ring on Lanikai beach, Hawaii surrounded by the exact same group of people that were in the room the moment you first laid eyes on her...? 🤔

Sounds too dreamy? This appears to be what my boy @charlez_law pulled off this weekend.

She's a Doctor, she's an Entrepreneur, she's a Pastor but most importantly she's me Ma! She's Dr. Loretta Balogun.

Ma, I don't say I love you enough, I don't call enough, and I don't say I'm proud of you enough, but every now and then I sit and think of what my life would be if you weren't my mom and the thought always brings me to tears. So I want you to know that I SEE YOU! I've seen you work hard your entire life so that your babes can go through life a little easier. I've seen you pray longer so we'd go through less hardship. Your advice, chastisement, and encouragement, are part of the foundation of what I am today.
I could go on and on but I want you to know that I love you more than words can ever describe and that one day I'll make you more proud than you could ever dream. I wish you a happy birthday and 50 more years of health, wealth, and happiness. Plus many grandchildren (@sweegdeddy you best start popping babies)
