There still aren’t accurate words for how I felt this last week because how do you find the right words to describe a friendship that’s lasted over 25 years? So here’s some bits of my speech that I hope will do it justice ✨

There’s a saying that goes: some people come into your life as leaves, some as branches, and some as roots. Leaves come and go with the seasons, branches are strong, but they can break when life gets heavy but roots hold you up, they ground you, they grow with you quietly over time. @hanabaigel has always been one of my roots.

Over the years, our lives have changed and they don’t look the same as they did 25 years ago - we live in different states, sometimes we don’t even see each other for months or years on end but one thing that has never changed is her loyalty, I’ve never had to guess where I stand with her because she loves deeply and she loves consistently. She was my very first friend and she’s been my best friend since I’ve known her.

There are some people in this world who feel like they were gifted to you, placed into your life for a reason and Hana is that person for me. I will forever be grateful to be best friends with someone as kind, resilient and dedicated as she is. And from what I know about Khurram, he is her perfect match in every way.

Congratulations to you both again on your wedding day. May your marriage be filled with barakah, may every year be better than the last and may you always find happiness with each other iA always 🤍🥹
