We started a brewery 16 years ago, with one simple objective… to have Debbie McGee taste one of our beers.

Seeing as the witching hour is nearly upon us, we thought we’d summon the Halloween spirit by offering a free pumpkin stout to anyone who brings a carved pumpkin to the taproom on Saturday. Make it a Tempest one and it will take pride of place in our taproom.

Our pumpkin-spiced stout will be pouring all day. And to keep the ghostly vibes going, we’ll be playing Halloween tunes and movies for the duration.

The world famous Tempest brewery tours are back.

For £20 you get to step behind the curtain with a guided tour of the brewery and our brewing process follow by a beer tasting in the taproom.

Drumroll please…

It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for all your life - Tempest have made a chocolate stout - Oh lord… oh lord.

This is a rich, dark stout brewed with Peruvian cacao nibs, husks and cocoa powder, built up on layers of different chocolate malt, crystal malt and flaked oats to bring a luxuriant body and texture. And if the words above have got your heart rate pounding faster than a Phil Collins snare drum, it might be a wise idea to dive head first into this chocolate fountain.

Despite what the ‘landlord’ wants you think, this old boy is the actual new face of cask beer.

In case you didn’t already know… our brewery was broken into in the small hours of Sunday morning. They got into the taproom and the brewhouse and managed to get away with a van and the cash from the till (thankfully the recipe for Long White Cloud is held in a locked vault).

Seriously though, we’ve been genuinely blown away by your love and support since. And if you do have any information, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

As always, keep supporting small local businesses. ✌️ by @tempestbrewingco
