We’re kicking off spooky season in style! The Templeton Philharmonic’s latest short film is premiering at @tadfilmfest.

CREEPING CHARLIE (dir. Briana Templeton) features a charming young couple (Gwynne Phillips and Sharjil Rasool) who spend the night at a bed & breakfast, only to discover their host (Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll) is not all he seems…

Huge thanks to our fantastic cast, crew and to Toronto After Dark Film Festival.

CREEPING CHARLIE will be screening Sat Oct 18 at Toronto’s Scotiabank Theatre. Hope to see you there! taken in Scotiabank Theatre Toronto by @templetonphil

Tonight - we’ve got Bette Davis eyes. 👁️👄👁️

@topictureshow will be screening “The Women’s Hour” (@larueent) and “Baby Shower” (The Templeton Philharmonic) ahead of the camp classic “Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?”.

Both short films are period pieces, and an ode to vintage cinema. Now they’re on the same bill as Bette Davis and Joan Crawford! It’s a dream come true.

✨A huge thank you to the brilliant Templeton Philharmonic—Gwynne Phillips and Briana Templeton—for hosting the 2025 Equity Showcase Cayle Awards! ✨

You brought your signature wit, charm, and comedic brilliance to the stage and kept us laughing and engaged all night long. 🎭😂 It has long been a dream of ours to have former Cayle Award winners host the ceremony—and this year, that dream became a reality in the most entertaining way possible.

We also want to give a big shout-out to our beloved regular co-host Randy Vancourt for working his magic on the ivories and keeping the show flowing with his musical flair. 🎹✨

Your energy helped make this year’s awards truly unforgettable. We are so grateful! 💫👏

Thank you

We are ecstatic to announce that the 2025 Equity Showcase Cayle Awards will be hosted by the incomparable comedy duo, The Templeton Philharmonic! 🎭✨

Comprised of Gwynne Phillips and Briana Templeton, The Templeton Philharmonic are renowned for their unique blend of surreal sketch comedy infused with biting social commentary and a distinctly feminist perspective. Their exceptional performances have earned them accolades such as “Best Duo” at the LA Comedy Festival and “Producer’s Pick” at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. In 2023, they were honoured with the Cayle Award for Media, and we are proud to have them return to host our magical night celebrating women in the arts.

Beyond the stage, Gwynne and Briana have co-created several innovative theatre projects, including “An Evening in July” (Canadian Stage and SummerWorks) and “Unbridled & Unstable” (Next Stage Performance Festival). Their film endeavours, such as “Alaska,” have garnered awards like “Best Canadian Short” at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. Their recent short film, “The Women’s Hour,” is currently streaming on CBC Gem.

Join us in welcoming The Templeton Philharmonic as they bring their unparalleled wit and charm to the 2025 Cayle Awards stage. We can’t wait to experience the energy and humour they’ll bring to this year’s Cayle Awards celebration! by @templetonphil
