Tempoe has another major milestone to his name. CKay’s “Love Nwantiti,” produced by the Nigerian hitmaker, has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify - becoming the first solo Nigerian song to cross the mark on the platform.

The achievement sits at the centre of a catalogue that has helped soundtrack Afrobeats’ global expansion. Tempoe has now worked on ten songs that have individually surpassed 100 million Spotify streams, including Omah Lay’s “Soso” and “Understand,” Victony’s “Soweto” and Davido and Omah Lay’s Grammy-nominated “With You.”

From producing global crossover hits to taking on executive production roles for Joeboy and Omah Lay, Tempoe’s evolution reflects the increasingly influential role of African producers behind some of the continent’s biggest records. by @tempoe_
