Vintage canvas, screen print, vintage mother of pearl buttons

This already belongs to an amazing person but it deserves a share. I made this shirt with vintage canvas I sourced at a local antique store. I cut the pieces and screen printed them before assembling, with an intentional lack of care for how the print came out because I think it looks cooler when it’s imperfect. the button card that the buttons were on had a message that traveled over 60 years with the buttons. by @temporaryconcrete

I love vintage mail bags. the patina, the perfect weight of the canvas. the thought of where they’ve been and the news they may have delivered. what “weight” have they carried? what burdens, good news, happiness or grief have they dropped at people’s doorsteps? To then be turned into something so drastically different from their original purpose is a delightful thing to me. by @temporaryconcrete

the world is a series of dumpster fires, but here is another shirt I made. At least it’s made out of organic, unbleached raw cotton that is grown in CA and cut and sewn by me. It is also dyed with coffee and has some beautiful mottling throughout. It is screen printed with water based ink and distressed by hand. by @temporaryconcrete

I made this using vintage fabric I sourced in Spokane, Wa on a road trip to Wyoming. I had a long winded post about the meaning of it and how it’s more than just a boot leg hat but who am I am to say by @temporaryconcrete

“Memory”

I made this for a recent show @base.camp.studios that revolved around text in different media. The clips on the sleeves make it more wearable while still exaggerated. I also experimented with diluted fabric paints to treat the seams. by @temporaryconcrete

one of my fav things I have made lately. I had other plans w this design and, like a lot of things I make, that changed mid process and I decided it reminded me of the old CK obsession graphics and it felt right. a lot of things don’t seem to have much feeling these days, so I try to follow mine as much as possible. by @temporaryconcrete
