Plastic packaging is everywhere and in some cases it’s absolutely necessary.
But in most cases it’s just better for the margins.

That seems to be where the world is right now.
And it doesn't sit right with us.

Aluminum tins.
Home compostable sachets.
Biodegradable scoops.

It costs us more.
We don’t care.

What matters is proving companies can make better decisions from day one instead of waiting until they’re big enough to pretend sustainability matters.

We made a choice, now you can too. taken in Squamish, B C by @tenacle.ca

Checking in from Khare Nepal at 4,878 m! 🏔️ Sitting in a teahouse with a pretty spectacular backyard where mountains towering above 7000m

Today’s mission: hydrate, stretch, eat like a king and stay warm! Above freezing in the sun, a crispy -15degree C in the shade, and SE winds around 20–30 km/h. Up on the ridge, the wind is really showing off! 💨

Going for a little skin today to test the gear and see if skiing from Mera Peak’s summit at 6470 m all the way back here is in the cards! It’s a little intimidating but really doable.

Tomorrow we head to high camp at 5800 m, and the following day, if all goes well, the music starts! 🎶⛷️

Around 7 PM Tuesday in Squamish, I’m hoping to be clicking into my skis for one heck of a ride down!

Feeling good so far, smiling lots, and soaking it all in!

Super mega!!! 🤘🏔️❤️ taken in Refuge Mera Lodge - Khare, Mera Peak by @tenacle.ca

Welcome, Tori Wood 🤝

Tori’s been a Tenacler for a long time, and we’ve been consistently impressed by her drive and focus. She’s always pushing her limits, taking on those behind-the-scenes sufferfests just to see how far she can go.

Off the bike, she’s chill and easygoing. Once she’s on it, it’s go time. A razor-focused speed demon, and suddenly your casual ride has become a workout.

That dedication extends beyond her own riding. As a registered clinical counsellor, she helps other athletes navigate the mental side of sport @toriwoodwellness . She also puts time into building sick trails here in the Sea to Sky, giving back to the community she’s part of.

Having Tori on our side has meant a lot, and we’re excited to keep supporting her as she takes on whatever comes next.

On the shelf, Tenacle looks overpriced. Until you realize just how underpriced it is.
All the sodium. None of the plastic.
(Bet they spend all that profit on professional marketing teams.)

Brand Sodium / L Cost / L
Tenacle 1,000 mg $1.63
Skratch 800 mg $3.30
LMNT 1,000 mg $2.75
Nuun Sport. 600 mg $2.59
Precision 1,000 mg $3.20

*One Tenacle serving = 1 litre. That's 30 litres per tin, or 60 x 500ml servings. taken in Squamish, B C by @tenacle.ca

Welcome, Noah Rubuliak 🤝

Noah joined us while recovering from a shoulder injury. He wasn’t ready to race, but he still showed up to every event to volunteer. In his free time, he tackled long rides on the road bike and trail runs to keep himself fit.

When he lined up for his first race back in the Canadian Enduro League, he nabbed a podium.

He’s dedicated to the sport, to going fast and to finding ways to keep progressing, whatever the circumstances. Textbook inspiration, and probably the nicest guy around.

We’re more than happy to support someone of his calibre. Lucky to have him.

Welcome to the pack, @noah_rubuliak 🐺

Welcome, Lief Rodgers 🤝

Race after race, Lief kept himself at the front of the field, finishing second overall in the 2026 UCI Enduro World Cup and taking the title fight all the way to the final round.

Given everything enduro demands of a rider, we’d argue he’s the second best mountain biker in the world right now. He might not say it, but we’re not him.

Down to earth, focused and confident in the skills he’s spent years honing—that’s how we’d describe Lief. We’re proud to watch his career up close and support him however we can.

Looking forward to the World Championships next month and watching your story unfold.

Welcome to the wolf pack, @lief.rodgers 🐺

Welcome @jessie.mcauley 🤝

They say you’re at your best when you feel at home. For Jessie, home is the mountains, whether he’s running, skiing or carrying a camera along for the day.

He’s been with us longer than any other athlete, testing our products and giving us insight into the demands of elite training and racing.

He’s set multiple FKTs and won both the vertical and individual skimo races at Cypress last winter. Plenty to brag about, although you’re unlikely to hear much of that from him.

Humble, quietly driven and always drawn outside, Jessie’s someone we’re proud to have in our corner.

Thanks for being here from the start, Jessie. 🐺 taken in Squamish, B C by @tenacle.ca

Welcome to the team, @geza_r 🤝

Raised on the trails around Port Moody, Geza started racing at five and earned her place on Canada’s cyclocross national team, competing at the 2023 World Championships. These days, she’s taking on the Enduro World Cup circuit, with a Canadian junior downhill title and multiple elite World Cup top tens to her name.

Between racing and studying psychology, she makes time for trail days, coaching young riders and mentoring through Ride Like a Girl. Her goal is to become a mental performance coach, carrying that support for other athletes into her future, too.

We’re stoked to support someone putting so much into both her riding and the community around it.

That’s a wrap on the @canadian.enduro season!

We’ve been out at almost every stop this summer running the Tenacle aid station, ending the season in Sun Peaks — and somehow even convinced ourselves that driving all the way to Cypress Hills was a reasonable thing to do in a weekend.

Huge thanks to @ryder_knoll for putting the whole thing together, and to @insidelinemtb for sponsoring the series.

Met a ton of solid people, handed out nearly 300 litres of electrolytes, and hopefully took a second or two off everyone’s race times along the way.

See you next season 🤘 taken in Squamish, B C by @tenacle.ca

This month marks 10 years since I quit drinking.

I’ve always said it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done... but I seem to keep finding ways to test that theory.

After 33 hours on my bike and climbing a thousand metres for every year I’ve lived without alcohol, I still stand by it.

I’m drawn to endurance goals like this because it forces me to deal with discomfort rather than avoid it. I think a lot of our potential comes down to how long we can stay with something that feels hard, and whether we’re willing to keep going when it would be easier to stop.

I almost didn’t post this because I didn’t want something meaningful to me to feel performative. But 10 years without alcohol means far more to me than 10,000 metres on a bike. If talking about it helps make addiction a little less shameful and recovery a little more visible, then it’s worth sharing.

I sometimes wonder about the overlap between addiction and sport... whether I just traded one addiction for another. Maybe there’s some truth in that. But there are some important differences.

Addiction, for me, was about escaping discomfort. Endurance teaches me to sit with it.

Addiction isolated me. The bike connects me to some of the best people in my life.

Addiction chased the quick reward. Sport teaches me the value of earning it.

Addiction made me hate myself. Riding teaches me to be kind and trust myself.

Addiction is complicated. It can be a disease, a symptom, a coping strategy, or all three. Shame and secrecy only make it harder.

If someone in your life is struggling, check in on them. If you’re struggling, talk to someone. Get help. Find your people. Let them help you.

It gets harder before it gets better... but the better is absolutely worth fighting for.

Working with @torrgallore and @lief.rodgers has been absolutely awesome. Tenacle wouldn't be anywhere near what it is without them and the mountain bike community that's backed us from day one. You guys are so fucking rad.

Supporting the @squamish_enduro, @canadian.enduro AND @crankworx were goals I figured would take years. Somehow we managed it in the first year and we ain't slowing down.

Instead of following in the footsteps of the big brands, we'd rather put all our energy into the riders, the trails, and the people who built this community in the first place. If Tenacle still grows after that, then you guys really are the sickest.

We're still tiny, but we're not going anywhere. This is just the beginning.

Working on some new products for you guys so keep an 👁️ out

-Adam
