🐈‍⬛ Kiki's Pancake Cookies, 5x7 embroidery on felt and fabric 🧹

This is my most elaborate of textile illustrations yet and it's an ode to the cozy delightful vibes of my favourite Ghibli film: Kiki's Delivery Service :-). I made this for the New Winds Ghibli Fan Zine last year 💖 (my first ever zine contribution!!)

Who else grew up with cookie tins full of sewing supplies? I started my own sewing cookie tin when I moved away for school, and it felt like taking a piece of home with me 🥰 and in turn, I got to transform the memory of a delicious treat into storage for the ingredients that would create new creative projects! 🪡

🐳 Big Blue Pacific, 5"x 8" embroidery + gouache on cotton linen 🌊
After 6 months of slowly working on this piece 🥺, I'm so happy to finally share the completed version!!🤗 this has been my biggest & most ambitious embroidery project yet so thanks for following along if you saw the past progress pics 😌

I've always been a huge fan of sea critters so I embroidered a few of my fav Pacific Ocean superstars: sunfish, yellow-fin tuna, anchovies, comb jellies, and Pacific sea nettles ☺️💗 do y'all have a fav aquatic animal or pet :3?

I'm planning to release a sticker, postcard, and maybe small batch of prints of this design!! More details to come soon~ ☺️ by @tenderpup

This video brought me so many giggles so I decided to embroider it 🤣🤣 I think the floral details makes the whole thing a little goofier so I'm really happy with how it turned out!!

🍵 Green tea leaf + calm cup embroidery for the Stitched on Main event this Friday 🤗!!

I'm sooo happy that @embroideryunnie reached out to me and @ellies.market to collab on this community workshop, hosted by @mitchie_matcha (⁠☆⁠▽⁠☆⁠)

Since it's a beginner's upcycling-style workshop, I went with some approachable matcha-themed designs using backstitch 🪡

Hope to see some of y'all there!! 🤗 If not, I'm planning another workshop in fall soon.. so stay tuned!!!! Hint on the theme: 🐟 by @tenderpup

Stitched On Main (hosted with @mitchie_matcha and the @mountpleasantbia) is coming up soon and we can’t wait to craft with you! 🪡

Here’s a quick tutorial for the embroidery we’ll be doing - we will be working with soluble stabilizer templates (designed by @embroideryunnie , @ellies.market , and @tenderpup ) to backstitch a design. This video can be followed during the event but we will be explaining the steps in-person as well! If you won’t be at the event, you can also follow along at home with your own supplies 😉

Don’t forget to bring an item of your own to embroider and upcycle (like a bag, shirt, cap, etc.) 😌 Link is in bio to register for the event. Please comment or DM with any questions!

Stitched On Main is coming up next week, and we are so excited to share the different embroidery designs that will be featured at the event! Get to know our three Vancouver artists and the designs that they’ve created.

Swing by, grab an embroidery template, munch on some snacks, and leave with your new upcycled item! This event is free-to-attend and drop-ins are welcome, but RSVPs on Flock are appreciated so we can have an idea of numbers. Can’t wait to see you there!

Have some preloved clothing items that could use a makeover? Join us for an evening of embroidery upcycling and matcha on Main Street!

In collaboration with the Mount Pleasant BIA and @embroideryunnie, Mitchie Matcha will be hosting a drop-in workshop where you can upcycle your own items with hand embroidery! Different templates (designed by local artists @embroideryunnie, @ellies.market, and @tenderpup) will be provided for participants to learn how to embroider with a simple backstitch. This workshop will be BEGINNER FRIENDLY! We recommend bringing a tote bag, shirt, hat, or anything with a high cotton content.

Mitchie Matcha will be onsite selling food and drinks during the event. We will also have freeze-dried fruit snacks, generously donated by @ohmefoods, to snack on while embroidering (while supplies last)!

This event is free-to-attend and drop-ins are welcome, but RSVPs on Flock are appreciated so we can have an idea of numbers. Can’t wait to see you there!

⭐ my crochet patchwork granny square iPad case!!! ⭐
I started working on this in Sept 2025 and finally finished this Spring 2026 😆

Each square was my experiment to try new techniques and use up scrap yarn ^__^ the result is a bit wobbly, as if every square is trying to be the main character, but I like the energy and they're all my fav children LOL 🤣

👋 Also hello again after a while without posting!! I had lots of challenging life stuff happening the last 2 months but I'm feeling my creativity invigorated with the sun 🌞

I'll share more behind the scenes on this piece soon! :3 by @tenderpup
