All the time it was sunny and warm - and suddenly, rainy, cold autumn 🍁

I was a bit sad that the cover of my glass water bottle was in such a bad condition.
Buying a new bottle with cover is cheap, but most of them are longer and therefore don’t fit well into my (hand) bags. So, I used my free will and the sewing machine to sew a new cover - and I‘m quite pleased with the result. ☺️

Yesterday, I went with my friend and her dog to a new-to-me pond, which is called ‘Itzenplitzer Weiher’.
This is a small barrier lake that was created due to a nearby mining site in the 19th century, because water was needed for the steam machines.
Thanks to the calm conditions, I was enjoying the mirroring effect of the water in bright sunshine. 🌞

Today, my dad would have celebrated his 70th birthday. His 60th was a big party, his 70th probably would have been similar. Instead he died in 2022, following complications after a routine appendix removal.
He was a strong willed, complicated man and my mom‘s life greatly improved after his death. And still, I do miss talking to him about various topics, and I see how my nephew has similar personality traits and maybe would have appreciated someone who can understand.
I wish, I could call my dad right now: Because yes, I still know his mobile phone number by heart.

Since the little boy is often visiting neighbors it’s sometimes hard to tell if he spend enough time outside, what did he eat and how much. 🐱

Sometimes nature itself is quite destructive to public property - and it’s slightly puzzling that there were no strong winds or anything else that could cause such a big oak tree to suddenly split.
