(EN) Mariana Machado (Porto, 2000) is an independent artist and researcher. In 2023, she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema at the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University, continuing her studies with a Master’s Degree in Sound and Image: Specialization in Digital and Sound Arts in the same institution. Over the years, she has pursued a path that encompasses experimental cinema and installation, with an interest in working with cinematic structures and visual perception. Her research unfolded into modeling, programming, and experimentation with digital technologies.(PT) Mariana Machado (Porto, 2000) é artista plástica e investigadora independente. Em 2023, concluiu a licenciatura em Cinema na Escola Superior de Artes da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, prosseguindo os seus estudos com um mestrado em Som e Imagem: Especialização em Artes Sonoras e Digitais na mesma instituição. Ao longo dos anos, tem trilhado um percurso que abrange o cinema experimental e a instalação, com interesse em trabalhar com estruturas cinematográficas e a perceção visual. (EN) Paulo Wirz (b. 1990, Pindamonhangaba) is an artist based in Zürich, Switzerland. Working primarily with sculpture and site-specific installation, his practice draws on burial rituals, funerary architectures, and elements of domestic, ludic, and oneiric worlds to examine the symbolic systems through which societies remember, preserve, and imagine themselves. Ideas of conservation, transmission, detachment, deconstruction, visibility, and invisibility guide his thinking.In Submundo, his first solo exhibition in Porto, he transforms the exhibition space into an immersive field where references to the mythological Styx, burial memorials, and fragile found objects merge.His work has been shown at institutions such as Kunsthalle St. Gallen, Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, Kunst Museum Winterthur, Kunsthalle Arbon, Fondazione Antonio Ratti, and Archivio Conz, among others.#PauloWirz #Submundo #TeodoroW by @teodorowwww

(EN) Ivan Hunga Garcia, They, Them (b. 2000, Abrantes, Portugal), develops a multidisciplinary practice across fashion, speculative design, and biotechnology, with a focus on regenerative processes and the sensorial qualities of materials. Currently enrolled in the Master in Design for Emergent Futures, a program of IAAC and ELISAVA (2025/27), their work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions, including: “Dirty Looks” at Barbican Centre in London (2025-26), “F.A.U.X” solo exhibition at Saco Azul / Maus Hábitos (Porto, 2025) and at the Funchal Arts & Design Biennial (2025) and the Contextile – Contemporary Textile Art Biennial (2018).Abril Xavier (b. 1998, Santo Tirso, Portugal) is a visual artist whose transdisciplinary practice intersects identity, resistance, and transformation, exploring organic materials such as hair and plants.Graduating at FBAUP, she has developed an artistic path marked by experimentation between nature and intimacy, creating pieces that inhabit the boundary between the ephemeral and the permanent. Her material research reflects a deep interest in mutability, both of natural elements and of the body itself.
