2KM swim | 80KM bike | 18KM run
Came in very confident thinking it’s a wetsuit swim, Unfortunately for me, non-wetsuit race 😅
Fear showed up, but so did the training and the support ( @3fstriders ).

First of all, all praises belong to God! Thank YOU for giving me the strength and courage to finish the race!
2nd, huge thanks to my coaches, especially @edenuy_tri & @wilmorn31
3rd, to my teammates @lourds_trimumpreneur @judycabacang @cleo_u_marie big thank you!
4th, to our supporters in the Netherlands: @arnold_something & the kids, @jeighpeg @elamortiz, Kuya Puknat and Ate Loida, super thanks!
And lastly, my family, @3fstriders family & friends (too many to mention but I’ll try 😅): Chris, Mye, KuyaEd, AteLou, Lea, Dee, Sugar, AteLisa thank you to all of you!

To finish an Ironman 70.3 has been one of my lifelong dreams. It got delayed many times for so many reasons, but God always put me back on track.

Can’t explain how happy I feel now especially because I have this fear of open water. I prayed so much that my fear literally wouldn’t let me sleep. Alarm was set at 3:30 am but guess who was already wide awake at 3am? Yep, me. Full of anxiety, almost wanting to quit. Only a few friends knew I registered, coz I was scared to fail. But surprise! The secret’s out, I was being tracked on the app!

I even asked ChatGPT if it’s ok to race with zero sleep. Expected a “no” but got a “yes.” Hahaha. So I showed up anyway, prayed harder, and by God’s grace, I finished it!

Finish line:
My first Ironman 70.3, all the physical & mental pain, sleepless night, anxiety… worth it! Thank you Lord!

Swim:
Not salty, so low buoyancy, high waves, strong current & dark water. Got kicked and hit many times, swallowed water, but calmed myself down and kept going. My only wish was to finish the swim cut-off and then work on the bike & run. Thank God I did!

Bike:
My bike computer didn’t work at start, my bad & more delay for me but didn’t bother me. Goal was to finish! Knew it would be windy (land of windmills), but I trained for it. Even on my entry-level road bike, I enjoyed the route. Every time I saw my speed go above 30, I slowed back to keep it safe. Grateful for the chance and for everyone cheering!

Run:
