My Awakening 🤍

For a long time, I kept asking myself, “Why is this happening to me?”

Why do certain people come into our lives?
Why do the same patterns keep repeating?
Why do we go through experiences that hurt us so deeply?
And ultimately, what is the purpose of my life? Why am I here?

My own spiritual awakening between 2017 and 2019 was one of the most difficult phases of my life. At the time, I didn’t understand what was happening. I was questioning everything.

But slowly, I began to realise that perhaps the question wasn’t “Why is this happening to me?”

The question was “What is this teaching me?”

That one shift in perspective can change everything.

Instead of questioning the universe, you begin listening to it. Instead of asking why you are being given a certain experience, you start asking what you are meant to learn from it.

And somewhere in that process, you begin to understand your patterns, your relationships, your wounds, your strengths and ultimately, your purpose.

I have had many beautiful souls be a part of my journey. Healers, teachers, guides and people who came into my life at exactly the right time.

@tamannac.psychic has been instrumental in my journey and has helped me see just how beautiful this path can be. @anil.k.thomas has also been an important part of my journey, along with many others who have helped me understand myself more deeply.

I am still learning. Still evolving. Still becoming.

But today, I am becoming a woman who understands that every experience has something to teach us, every pattern has something to reveal, and every chapter has a purpose.

And if you are at the beginning of your awakening and everything feels confusing right now, trust that you don’t need to have all the answers.

Just start with one question:

“What is this experience here to teach me?”

Sometimes, that is where the real journey begins. ✨

Sometimes we sit down to daydream and wonder… what are we actually thinking about? What are we wishing for, dreaming of, and imagining for our lives?

And then a new year comes around, and we make those promises to ourselves…. this year I’ll do this, I’ll change that, I’ll become a better version of myself.

But have we really kept those promises? Have we stuck to our word?

Time passes so quickly. And then it’s already the New Year… it’s September right now.. what are we doin different this time around?

So maybe every once in a while, we should pause, breathe, and look back. What has changed? What have we left behind? What are we carrying forward?

And most importantly… are we grateful for who we are today and who we are becoming? 🤍✨

What a blessing it was to stand before and bow down to Pujya Rakeshbhai Jhaveri Ji of @srmdharampur . A dream come true. 🤍

Thanks to @vrinda.j and @devanggada for making this possible. Thank you, @sanjay.u.sagar for being instrumental in this journey and for being a guiding light… and my dear @simplybhaav for doing this with me 🤍

The Path Within. 🤍

Today, on the second-last day of the pravachan at Dome NSCI, Guruji left me with questions far deeper than answers.

Am I powerful because of what I possess outside… or because of the शक्ति (Shakti) I carry within?

We chase success, comfort, love and recognition. But what happens when we finally get everything we desire and still feel empty?

Perhaps that emptiness is not asking for more. Perhaps it is asking us to look within.

We are constantly told to change and become better. But have we discovered the unchanging आत्मा (Aatma), the true self beneath अहंकार (Ahankar), identity and everything we have built?

Guruji reminded me that दुःख (Dukh) is not our nature. कष्ट (Kasht) comes and goes. And when we grow tired of our pain, अभिलाषा (Abhilasha) awakens… the desire to rise, understand and transform.

We remain बाह्यमुखी (Bahirmukhi), searching outward, while the real journey is अन्तर्मुखी (Antarmukhi) inward.

From शरीर (Sharir) to आत्मा (Aatma).
From अज्ञान (Agnan) to awareness.
From restlessness to शान्ति (Shanti), and from peace to शक्ति (Shakti).

The stronger we become within, the less power the outside world has over us.

You don’t need a passport or visa to travel within. You only need the courage to look.

Transformation takes time. A seed is planted, a shoot appears, and one day you realise you have outgrown who you once were.

So I ask myself: Am I seeking stillness स्थिरता (Sthirata) while remaining अस्थिर (Asthir) unsettled within?

Perhaps true spiritual growth is not becoming someone else. Perhaps it is returning to the part of us that was always whole.

Less searching outside. More discovering within. 🤍

Another day of wisdom, introspection and perspective. 🙏🏻

Some journeys are planned. Others are divinely arranged. ✨🙏🏻

Sometimes, when your faith is deep and your love for God, the universe, and Babaji is unwavering, something far greater than you could have imagined begins to unfold.

I was invited to Amritsar for a friend’s 50th birthday @gursimmrankaur333 I had planned to fly in on Sunday and return on Monday. But with Ganpati at home, a pravachan at Dome by the @srmdharampur Mission, and a hundred things pulling me in different directions, I found myself changing my plans. I decided to fly in a day earlier, on Saturday evening.

Little did I know that this one decision would become a moment I would cherish forever.

That very day, Amritsar was observing a special holiday for the arrival of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Darbar Sahib in 1604. And there I was, standing in the presence of the Golden Temple, surrounded by countless souls, shimmering lights, candles, and an energy so powerful that it felt almost surreal.

I kept asking myself, Am I really here? Is this really happening?

I realise that when your heart is aligned, when you are walking with love, faith, and intention, the universe has a beautiful way of opening doors you never knew existed.

Sometimes, Babaji doesn’t just call you. He moves people, plans, and circumstances around you until you find your way to Him.

And when you finally arrive, you understand that it was never a coincidence. It was grace. It was divine timing. It was a homecoming. 🤍

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. 🙏🏻

Yesterday at Dome NSCI @nsci_mumbai , I experienced something far beyond a pravachan. I experienced perspective. ✨ with my @simplybhaav 🤍

I’ve been following Pujya Rakeshbhai Jhaveri Ji of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur for years @srmdharampur …watching his reels, listening to his words, absorbing his wisdom. But hearing him speak in person was a completely different feeling.

His way of turning the lens inward; to introspect, to question, to observe ourselves before we judge the world, is truly enlightening.

One thought stayed with me deeply: Detachment is not the absence of love. Detachment is pure love. Vairagya (वैराग्य) is learning to love without dependency, expectation or possession.

And then came the beautiful battle between Trupti (तृप्ति) vs. Trushna (तृष्णा) contentment versus craving.
How much is enough?
When does a necessity become comfort, comfort become luxury, and luxury become a way of satisfying the ego?

Our curiosity constantly tells us to seek the next thing, the next experience, the next validation. Temptation comes in waves. Expectations create attachment. And sometimes, the answers we desperately seek outside can only be found through deep introspection within.

Listen to your boredom.
Change the object, or change the direction.
Find stillness.

The most powerful image I’m taking home today is this:

Even if someone throws a stone into the river, may my inner stillness remain like a frozen lake.

To stay in a meditative state, not just while sitting in meditation, but while living, loving, choosing, losing, wanting and letting go.

Perhaps true happiness begins when we stop depending on the world to create it for us.

Less Trushna (तृष्णा). More Trupti (तृप्ति). 🤍
Less attachment. More love.
Less reaction. More stillness.
More looking within. 🤍

Grateful for today’s wisdom, reflection and perspective. 🙏🏻

WHEN LIFE CHANGES IN A MOMENT 🤍

Sometimes loss doesn’t arrive when we are prepared for it.

Sometimes it comes in the middle of a beautiful moment — on a journey we have waited for, surrounded by people we love, believing life is exactly where it is meant to be.

The people who travelled towards Kailash went with faith. For many, this wasn’t simply a trek. It was a pilgrimage. A sacred experience. A moment they may have felt divinely blessed to be living.

And yet, none of us knows which moment will be our last.

You can be laughing with someone one moment, making plans, taking photographs, walking beside them — never imagining that this could become the moment you would wish desperately to return to.

The tragedy unfolding in Nepal is heartbreaking. For those who have lost loved ones, for those still waiting, and for every family living through the unbearable uncertainty of not knowing.

How does one grieve something so sudden?

How do you process shock when your mind cannot comprehend what your heart is being asked to accept?

Perhaps there is no right way to grieve.

You don’t “get over” profound loss. You learn to carry it.

You remember. You cry. You question. You replay conversations. You wish you had hugged a little longer, stayed a little later, said one more thing.

And perhaps, eventually, you understand that grief is simply love with nowhere to go.

So don’t postpone love.

Don’t withhold the hug.
Don’t assume there will always be another conversation, another journey, another tomorrow.

Because sometimes the most ordinary moment becomes the last moment.

And perhaps that is why every moment we are given is sacred.

For everyone affected by this tragedy — those grieving, those searching, those waiting and those hoping — may you be held in strength, compassion, prayer and grace.

Pray for Nepal. 🇳🇵🙏🏻
May there be miracles where miracles are still possible.

This Mahashivratri, I understand that
destruction is not punishment.
It is preparation.

The breaking is not the end of me.
It is Shiva clearing space.

Old identities had to burn.
Old fears had to die.
Old attachments had to fall.

Because the woman I am becoming
cannot carry what the girl survived.

This transformation is not chaos.
It is consecration.

Power looks like confidence, clarity, independence, and inner balance. When ambition meets purpose, you become untouchable.
