If you love ciders as much as me, I highly recommend Ciderboys’ seasonal Caramel Apple (only available Sept - Nov). You won’t be disappointed.

But if you’re counting calories, you should skip dessert. For 2 months. 😳😂😛

Last night: “We’ve been gone 27 years. We don’t recognize a soul. We’re officially the outsiders.”

This morning at the only coffee shop in town: “TERA?!?!”

And Pat Kane was there too, but didn’t seem too interested in being memorialized before he was suitably caffeinated!

There’s something surreal about coming home. ❤️

Back in small-town Ohio tonight, sitting in the kind of country bar that once felt completely normal to us… and realizing we don’t recognize a single person.

We were born and raised here. This was home. These were our people and these little towns were pretty much our entire world. Then 27 years ago, we packed up our lives and left—and somewhere along the way, we became the outsiders when we came back.

And you know what? I’m incredibly grateful for that.

Not because we’re better than anyone here. We absolutely aren’t. But because when I look at the two people in this picture, I think about how much life we’ve lived since we left. We raised a family. Built careers. Traveled. Struggled. Worked our asses off. Took chances. Made mistakes. Found success. Became grandparents. And built a life that those two young kids from small-town Ohio probably never could have imagined.

There’s something pretty damn special about coming back to where it all started and realizing just how far you’ve traveled—not just in miles, but in life.

We may be the outsiders now… but these little Ohio towns will always be part of our story. ❤️

Pretending we are on a stakeout. And also, we got emotionally invested in a wedding on the beach earlier. They had a “shoe valet” and everything. I was wholly prepared to drop the happy couple $50 if their reception was at the resort and they had an open bar.

Sadly, our Ohio State garb probably would’ve given us away…so off for tacos and draft beer in town we went! 😜 by @tera_scherer
