@relabdev & Maselec launch the MLA-4 triband compressor/expander plug-in .

MLA-4 is a mastering tool with a very clean and transparent yet classy sound.

I really like it, and i use it most of the times just to control and add punch and dimension to the bass, also to tame some highs transients things, or both. You can also restore dynamics on some overcompressed mixes with his upward expansion that sounds really musical, but it could/should be used also just as an eq, like pushing the midband a little for more vocal/perceive loudness. You can also link low band with highs for a gentle pump leaving mids open, or low and mids for “de-boxying” some bad kick… so is not to be considered just as a “compressor”, as it is more an “overall shape tool”.

And very important imho, in a mastering situation, is that all this things are so fast to think and setup.

It works and sounds soo good!!!

And on this plugin recreation, Relab expanded his strength with some nice features, as Auto level or Spectral balance, and also you can choose in what band to add or avoid more color, and it’s a pretty cool option.

Aaaand you can find some presets made by me 🙂

cheers!
