The way we were….
It’s February 10th… the day I birthed my Princess! @chloegmoretz I have posted this photo before but I wanted to repost it today. This is the first time that you saw me. I had spied on you through numerous ultrasounds for months. I was tickled pink when I finally got to embrace you. We’ve had so much fun together through the years. We have literally traveled the world together. I have so many wonderful memories with you. I wish for you a wonderful day on this special day. You are 29 today!!! I look forward to seeing what you will do in years to come. But today, enjoy this time. It all goes by so quickly and we often times take life for granted. I know you are busy shooting your film today..but take a moment to reflect on the wonderful life that you have lived and the many more years you have yet to see. Keep God in your focus because without him life is pointless. He has always shown you Grace and favor. I wish I could hug you today but I am sending a virtual hug. I love you baby girl. It’s February 2nd…groundhogs day and Colin Moretz aka Colly dog, C-Note, Colleen, Salve Baby ,DitDit.and Colin Edward Charles Moretz’s 37th Birthday!!! Happy Happy Birthday my precious son. You have always been so special to me. From the minute you arrived (6 weeks early) you became my Heart salve. Your sister Katy Jane had gone to heaven on that date one year earlier. You came to console our whole family and you turned February 2nd from a day of mourning to a day of deep joy and happiness. You still to this day make me smile when you enter the room. You are hysterically funny, your wit is quick. You are an exceptional writer, artist and everybody’s support animal. I am so blessed to be your mother and I miss you daily. I can’t wait to see what this new trip around the sun holds for you. I love you to the moon and beyond. Now go eat cake at Trevor’s house and mail me a piece🥳🎂🎉🎶😇🌈🦄! Y’all !!! it is my precious son’s @ethanmoretz birthday!!! Dear Ethan, Tonny, E-Man…it’s your birthday! I cannot believe that my tinyest baby boy is 34 today!!!! Wow…my baby boy now has his own baby boy! Hugh Arthur Moretz is the happiest baby boy I have ever met (besides my own boys…(and I have 4!) I am so proud of the amazing human that you have become. You arrived in this world SO eager to be here. When I went into Piedmont Hospital on that snowy day I was admitted to stop the labor. I needed you to cook for a couple more months…but you had other plans! You arrived 10
Weeks early. You were my tiny miracle baby. We had a stay in the NICU and you defied all odds. Your educational needs were a little bump in the road. You just took it in stride .…it was a trip! You were basically legally blind and and had a major hearing deficit, it took us until second grade to identify clearly your difficulties. Your second grade teacher was amazing and saw your gifts. She asked me to hold you over for one more year because she saw your massive intelligence. I granted her that and you blossomed. We found out about your vision and auditory difficulties and we went to work. You made up 3 years of struggle in 6 months time. You left second grade that year reading At 5th grade level. You were a fighter and you still are. You married a wonderful woman @kirstymoretz who loves you so much and y’all gifted me with a precious grandson. I love seeing what great parents yall have become. You will make the Duke-Moretz name stand strong through him. I am so proud of you Ethan. Our family would not be the same without your presence. I love you to the moon and back my precious boy!!! Never forget whose you are. Now go enjoy your weekend and eat some cake for me!!! Today is Brandon Moretz Day!!! Happy Birthday!!! Where has time gone? It seems like yesterday when we took this photo. Today you are 44! I am so happy that I get to celebrate with you this year. It’s been a rough year but we’ve gotten through it. You alway see things on the good side. You are strong and so smart and you don’t let life knock you down. You’ve always been a problem solver. Your place in our family is very prominent and we cannot imagine a day without you in it. Your advice is wise and carefully given. Stop the presses…@trevordukemoretz is closing out his thirties this year! You’re 39 today and it still feels like you’re still my little budding actor and skillled director. We’ve had so many wonderful and blessed moments since God gave you to me back on September 13, 1986. I am so proud of the man that you have become. You’re a true force of nature. Everything that you do is done to perfection. Your brain never stops. I love how you can hit to many fields. Your intelligence is incredible. Your wit is sharp and your presence is always needed. Thank you for being such a strong force in our family. You are fiercely protective of all of us. You never fail to step in when a sibling, a friend or your mom needs something. You still make me proud everyday. You are one of our greatest blessings. I wish I could be there to celebrate with you but I am celebrating you from afar today.
