Introducing the MonoCorTenpura — a 59-string instrument crafted from corten steel.

What began as a monochord shifted through an accidental bridge discovery, revealing a droning, twang-rich voice inspired by the traditional Indian tanpura. I followed that sound and let the instrument evolve into its own form.

A fusion of sculpture and sound.

Each piece is one of a kind, signed and dated, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

This is my favorite one of these we have made so far! ❤️the low end is just lovely and calming! And I love its movement! It’s playful yet stern. More research and development!!! I do love the r&d phase; just you wait and see where we’re going with all this!
Big stuff coming!!! Now time to get a nice patina going on its base!!! Never finished over here! 😅 #soundsculpture #gong #gongmaker #sonicart #metalart #metalartist #contemporaryart #sculptor #research #development #wip #workinprogress by @terencejayartist

Reflecting Pool
Corten, stainless steel, and water. “Reflecting Pool” is a meditation on how we see ourselves. It invites you to pause and realize that we are the reflection, we are the vibration.
