@teresagaleraa presents her fashion show, Vamos a la at @thegreyspaceinthemiddle

Her collection is a playful yet critical exploration of Mediterranean beach culture shaped by mass tourism. Through exaggerated silhouettes, geometric forms, and humorous details, she reflects on how people reclaim joy, freedom, and identity even in the most commercialized spaces.

Her show is part of Trapitos, an event celebrating emerging fashion and contemporary creation, featuring a textile printing workshop with @merceria__clara , fashion screenings, and shows by @incachan and @teresagaleraa

¡Vamos a la playa!

Look 1

This look is built from glossy perforated red leather, composed of a sculptural sleeveless dress layered over a more rigid underdress that gives the silhouette its dramatic, flared structure. Matching leather shorts maintain a sleek, fitted line beneath the peplum shape, while the integrated hood and red heels complete the bold, architectural aesthetic.

Look 2

Look composed of a sleeveless cropped shirt constructed from repurposed red towels, featuring a pointed collar and a black sequined bull motif across the front. The piece is paired with low-rise shorts in yellow-and-white polka-dotted cloth, also made from repurposed towels. The shorts feature an exaggerated, box-like silhouette with extended side panels that frame the hips. The look is styled with black slip-on shoes wrapped with a towel fabric as well.

Look 3

A bikini set reimagined in burgundy striped polyamide jersey, with straps stretched and extended into playful loops — a surreal exaggeration of the gesture of sliding bikini straps down to sunbathe. Paired with a voluminous skirt constructed in blue nylon patterned with oversized white polka dots, evoking the absurd yet poetic idea of wearing a parasol as clothing. The rigid structure of the skirt hovers around the hips, framing the body in a sculptural, almost cartoon-like silhouette.

Look 4

Top in vivid orange rubber-coated Tyvek, cut sleeveless with a simple boxy silhouette. Paired with sculptural leather bottoms resembling a floating thong, merging the form of beach inflatables with underwear. The glossy tan leather references sun-tanned skin often seen in resort towns like Benidorm, adding a playful yet surreal edge. Finished with a matching leather cap for continuity.

LOOK 2/3 3/3

“The Kinetics of Marionettes” explores body motion and attire by drawing inspiration from puppets to liberate individuals from self-perception and societal norms.
Inspired by Heinrich von Kleist’s observation of marionettes’ freedom from self-consciousness and influenced by the Bauhaus Triadic Ballet and Oskar Schlemmer’s geometric approach to motion, the collection contrasts human movement’s limitations with marionettes’ natural freedom.
These pieces empower wearers to harmonize with their bodies, encouraging fluid, theatrical expression while also blending past influences with contemporary style.
