CALLISTO & DANTE. The Raven & The Shadow. Starling & Nightmare. They may go by many names, but one thing is certain: I am utterly OBSESSED with them🫶

MASSIVE thank you to @termesart for bringing my babies to life. I get butterflies just looking at them 🥹 These are characters from my upcoming book, DREAMS OF RUIN. Let me tell you a bit more about them!

First up, my girl, Callisto Bane. I just know you guys are going to LOVE her. She’s cunning, formidable, fiercely independent, but harbors a soft heart beneath that hard outer shell. But be careful...she’d sooner 🔪 you than show you how much she cares. This baddie is also a wanted criminal, intent on making every Favored’s life a living hell for the lives they’ve left to rot by the blight raging outside the city. They have an antidote, & she has no problem ripping it from their fingers. Her group of rebels at the Ironhand put her shapeshifting abilities to good use, having her commit untraceable crimes wearing the faces of others. Of course, when she’s not wearing another’s skin, she’s getting under Dante’s. But more on that in a second;)

On to Dante Drakos. Where do I even begin with my tormented lover boy? If you’re looking for a man down bad, a man in the TRENCHES, look no further, ladies. He’s guarded, intense, and emotionally complex, but behind it all, is deep loneliness. Although often misguided, his intentions are pure. It’s the softer moments where his character shines the most.
Now I mentioned that Callisto gets under his skin...yeah, her group of cronies keep his time in the palace dungeons busy. Some might say she’s the *bane* of his existence;) He’s tasked with walking into prisoners’ minds & extracting information to stop to her group, the issue is, the king’s council isn’t too happy with him. Everything he has worked for is on the line, & he has two months to prove himself before the upcoming Rite. Unfortunately, his greatest enemy is his ticket to getting what he’s after. Dante must trap Callisto & get her to swear a blood vow before heading off on a wild journey into blighted territory searching for answers. (Oh, & he just might slip into her dreams along the way hehe.) by @termesart
