What we collect often becomes part of the story we leave behind.
Terminal One Motor & Yacht Club is being created around more than exceptional automobiles and yachts. It’s about the experiences around them, the stories behind them and the people who understand why they matter.
On Seattle’s Salmon Bay, Terminal One brings together collector culture, architecture, hospitality and the waterfront in a place designed for ownership to become something more.
Where passions become legacy.

Meet some of the minds shaping Terminal One.
Inside Olson Kundig, Terminal One Motor + Yacht Club is taking shape through an ongoing process of drawing, discussion, testing, and refinement.
Leading the design are Edward Lalonde, Design Principal, Daniel Ralls, AIA, Design Principal, and Kirsten Ring Murray, FAIA, Design Mentor, bringing their collective perspective to a project that sits at the intersection of architecture, automotive culture, yachting, and Seattle’s working waterfront.
Alongside them, Michael Cady, AIA, Project Manager, and Adriana Carlos, Project Architect, are helping translate that vision through the details and day-to-day design development.
A look behind the renderings at the people and collaboration bringing Terminal One to life.

First day of fall, and we went looking for gold.
A secret spot, tucked minutes from the city, where not many wander. The drive through Discovery Park is one of the best you’ll take.
Bring a blanket. Bring your favorite person. Bring good tunes and a bite from Metropolitan Market, then stay for the sunset.
Fourteen years on Queen Anne, and this place was my Saturday run ritual

Ten minutes from downtown and it feels like a different state. West Point Light House sitting quiet at the edge of the water, Mt. Rainer so clear it does not seem real..the trail past Salmon Bay through Magnolia woods doing all the work of making you forget the city’s still right there.
That’s the trick of this place — close enough for a Tuesday afternoon, far enough to actually exhale. @terminaloneseattle @dobsonstuttgart 🎥 @derpherde2 by @terminaloneseattle

Meet The Sporty
For the collector who prefers a little more horsepower in the room.
The Sporty brings a performance-driven point of view to the possibilities at Terminal One, with a sleek, modern environment designed around the machines that are meant to be driven, enjoyed, and experienced.
Bold, streamlined, and unapologetically automotive. From the garage floor to the mezzanine above, every detail can be shaped around how you spend your time and what moves you.
The Specialist. The Curator. The Sporty. Three distinct personalities, and just a glimpse of what’s possible.

Designed for the machine, drawn around the human experience.
Before the renderings, materials, and finished spaces, there are lines on paper and questions about how a place should feel.
At Terminal One, that means considering the relationship between collector and collection, how people move through a space, where they pause, where they gather, and how the architecture can make the experience of owning and enjoying exceptional machines even better.
A glimpse into the thoughtful hand behind Terminal One, sketched by the team at Olson Kundig.
