One more composition built for @ojrgb’s class with @module.exchange.france leaning into the metalheart/depthcore-adjacent look once again. Music from the eurorack warlord @futurist_modular. The second moving composition built for @neurotypique’s class with @module.exchange.france. Once again honored that I got the chance to work on these. Music from the hyper-lethal @futurist_modular. Truly fits the atmosphere perfectly. I follow a lot of extremely talented artists who work in the Metalheart or Depthcore-inspired scenes. I’ve been a fan of the style for a while and wanted to try something similar. The shape itself is entirely made in TouchDesigner. Definitely have a lot of room optimization as the composition currently runs at 24fps max which is fine for exporting but makes running it live a bit rough. I’m also relying a lot on movement and the trail POP to provide visual interest while a lot of the artists I respect can seize attention with a single static image. Glitched variants of my previous work. Done using lots of composite TOPs and some displacement/blending/color grading stuff in TouchDesigner. Normally I’d care more about legibility/structure but I really like how these feel almost unstable, like they’re coming apart at the seams.
