Annual darkwave/ EBM/ industrial/ synth festival held in Calgary, Canada welcoming acts from all over the world
POSTS STORIES REELS
Another year of Terminus has come and gone and, wow, was it ever something! Going into lucky edition number 13, I really wanted to shift things towards a slightly harder and more industrial/ EBM focused lineup, and a large number of you indicated that you both noticed and greatly appreciated the change. I heard a lot of people say they felt this was the best year ever. It’s always difficult to measure these things but from our perspective, it was definitely the best one to date. We’ve never had everything move as smoothly as it did this year. And there’s a reason for that… The reason is Ambor, Gavin, Chuck, Troy, Myra, Eric, Shannon, ALL the staff, ALL the merch people and vendors, ALL the drivers, ALL the DJs, and, of course, ALL the bands. We had acts from Ireland, England, Germany, and Spain, as well as a ton from all over the US and Canada. It was the most international edition ever. The single biggest reason for Terminus being what it is, is something we all come to realize more every year. It’s all of you. I’ve said it so many times. The bands can play their hearts out (and they did every single set) but none of it would mean anything without the crowd. Some of you come every year, some of you are brand new, but when you come into the venue, your enthusiasm, excitement, support for the artists, and positive attitudes blend together to manifest an atmosphere that simply can’t be created any other way. All the special moments between bands, while buying merch, while chatting outside, while dancing with new friends, while walking back to the hotel, while saying SHHHH in a back yard… that’s what makes Terminus special. Those are the things you’ll never forget. Now we’ve got a year to gear up for Terminus: Oscillation. I assure you, plans are already underway (and yes, that means a few bands have been secured) but for the most part, things will be pretty quiet until the end of the year before I get moving again. Start saving now. It will be here before you know it. And it will be the best weekend of your summer. -Chris- by @terminusfestival
Things have been surprisingly hectic in the Terminus/ Dickens camp since the festival ended last week so I’ll try to make a more complete wrap up post later this week as Ambor and I are now on a much needed holiday. In the meantime, definitely check out this complete rundown of all the performances from the exceptional @idieyoudiedotcom duo, Alex and Bruce on their weekly podcast “We Have A Technical”. https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/we-have-a-technical/id715394280 by @terminusfestival

TERMINUS FESTIVAL 2026 NIGHT 4 of RESONANCE What a way to close out the festival. This year, we welcomed artists from six different countries to Dickens, making Lucky 13 our biggest international lineup yet, and our most successful Terminus to date 🖤 A huge thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this festival to life, to the incredible team at Dickens for everything you do, and to Chris and Ambor for making it all possible. Thank you to every artist who travelled to Calgary and completely melted our faces, and to every friend - old and new - who helped create the beautiful community we hold so close to our hearts. We are so lucky to have Terminus! Here's to new friendships, unforgettable memories, and playlists that will keep this weekend alive long after the lights go down 🖤 See you next year, TERMINUS: OSCILLATION by @terminusfestival

TERMINUS FESTIVAL 2026 DAY 3 of RESONANCE From the strike of five until the very end of the night, we were absolutely pummeled with brilliant music. Every set seemed to outdo the last, making it impossible to pick a favourite. Ireland showed up in a big way - OWLS 🖤 and YARD 🖤 proved their scene is thriving and deserves your attention. The buzz around MOON17 🖤 is absolutely justified, and closing the night with English industrial godfathers Test Dept 🖤 was the perfect finale to an absolutely stacked day. Now the final day of Terminus is already here, and there's no way we're letting Sunday fade quietly. One last chance to melt some faces. Let's send this year off the right way! by @terminusfestival
Don’t forget about the auction for our giant size fully signed poster! There’s only one bid so far so your chances are looking good. Every single artist will have signed it by the end. The bid sheet is in the merch area. by @terminusfestival
Over at Dickens, last night at Terminus: Resonance delivered a dive into post-punk, darkwave, industrial music, with standout performances from Past Self, MVTANT, and Tiffadelic. Stay tuned to our coverage for the rest of the weekend. 📍 Terminus Festival, Calgary 📸 @me_onlylouder by @terminusfestival

TERMINUS FESTIVAL 2026 NIGHT 1 of RESONANCE The question still remains: CAN YOU TAKE ME HIGHER? What a start to our weekend. A perfect blend of local favorites and - not so local - legends. We hope everyone left Dickens with a new playlist to reminisce over. 🖤🖤🖤 SEE YOU ALL TONIGHT 🖤🖤🖤 by @terminusfestival
