Summer Of ‘26

Every moment was like a movie embedded with moments of silence, clarity, adrenaline, adventure and the fear of the unknown. Out of all the summers I’ve had, this was the one where I got to do more than what I’ve always done. The lessons I learnt during this season were ones that were cold & bitter yet still granted a truthful narrative. I encountered what it’s like to be the nomad in a world of darkness yet there is still a shining light in the end waiting to be discovered.

Spending my time in the desert made me realise a few things, humans are used to being around the noise of the busy streets, the people and the sirens of the police cars that speed by in a city that never sleeps.

I rarely had any WiFi to make any work calls but that’s the point of it all, making yourself isolate from what your always used to consuming is like a detox that your mind has been longing for.

At the desert it was easier to speak to God, at the desert it was easier to find myself again.

There is nothing wrong with being old fashioned.

Many people in today’s society speak about how being old fashioned is weird and not normal.

The question you should ask yourself is:

‘Is being normal going to help me stand out or will it just make me be like everyone else?’

You are limiting the chances of truly expanding yourself as a person when you follow the wrong crowd of individuals.

You cannot afford to let others bring you down just because you may talk different or walk different.

Mankind will turn their back on you once they realise you aren’t valuable of anything. there is a reason why I tell people trusting mankind is like walking on a half broken bridge that’s yet to leave you perishing for dear life.

One thing I know for sure is that God has shown enough mercy for giving US a second chance to do things better and to serve for him.

Know that you may not be loved by this world but you shall always be valued by Christ himself.

One thing I’ve realised about being a man is the fact that you will eventually experience being completely isolated from the noise of people, social media, the Saturday morning news and all the other things you may indulge in.

In those times of isolation, I was in the unknown trying to find answers to questions I could never get out of mind. Then I realised that everything eventually makes sense with God.

I do doubt sometimes but that’s how we are as humans, we doubt that we will get to where we want to be in our current stages of life. it’s in our nature to experience doubt. Even the Devil wants you to doubt that you’re good enough to live for God.

The true way to transform yourself inside is to figure out what is distracting you from the outside. Step out into the world more and you’ll see what I mean.

Do the unthinkable, forget the impossible.
