Exciting week ahead for #BU Softball!

From working together as @redsox ball attendants at @fenwaypark … to celebrating four straight @patriotleague tournament championships… to collecting countless athletic and academic awards… to now competing on the professional stage.

Thanks to the @professionalsoftballleague, the journey continues for two of the best to ever don the scarlet & white in @bostonu softball history at Legends Field (Kansas City) on July 2-4.

Coach @ash3waters will join @brooke.deppiesse and the @newyorkrisesoftball to face off against @kase3304 and the host @thekcdiamonds.

These photos capture so much more than trophies. They tell the story of two best friends who grew together, built a championship legacy with their teammates and helped elevate #BU softball to new heights. Now, they’ll line up on opposite sides of the diamond—a testament to how far they’ve come.

Fans will be able to catch all the action for free on @plutotv via the @awsntv.

🥎 Congratulations to Kasey Ricard on being named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year!

Ricard capped her legendary career as a three-time Patriot League Pitcher of the Year, NCAA leader in wins, and the conference's all-time wins leader with 104 career victories. Now, she's continuing her journey with the KC Diamonds in the PSL. by @terriersoftball

A well-deserved honor for @kase3304‼️

In a conference with nearly 2,700 women competing across 13 sports, the two-time team captain is our program’s second @patriotleague Women’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year in four years. She graduated magna cum laude from @busargent and left @ncaasoftball as the active leader across all three @ncaa divisions in career wins (107) and shutouts (42), both #BUSB & PL records.

Boston University’s Kasey Ricard was named the 2025-26 Women’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year!

Ricard is a three-time Patriot League Pitcher of the Year and two-time Patriot League Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year!

The Littleton, Mass., native obtained her bachelor’s degree in health science/biology with a 3.90 cumulative GPA! by @terriersoftball
