Some small Summer projects . None were intentional- I just had fruit to use so it wouldn’t go to waste! The higher temps made ferments go quickly. They need to settle out, be re-bottled and then age a bit. by @terryfirma

It’s finally cool enough to make Sour dough- the hobby I never wanted, but really enjoy.:} I made 4 loaves on Sunday and 2 on Monday. 🥰 by @terryfirma

Vigorous fermentation.. and I knew I left too little head space! …:/ Today,in the heat, it bubbled into the airlock and beyond. Ugh.. a mess!!
But, it was a chance to filter out the lees a bit.. I had left some cherries in for further flavor. After the transfer, I noticed a huge crack in my jar!!? 😱 It could have been a disaster ! I’m thankful for the slight mess that prompted me to change vessels. ( * there is a lesson in there…;) All cleaned up and continuing to ferment .!
“ Last Pick for the Team” Montmorency Cherry wine.. A small but worthy batch, I hope. Haha. anyway, I like the name.. and now I dodged a near disaster. * I was typically 2nd to the last “ pick” for Dodgeball in school.
