A run inspired by Terry. On Sunday, September 20, people around the world will come together to honour Terry Fox, raise awareness, and support life-changing cancer research.Together with @terryfoxrunbeaches ,we ran from the Scarborough Terry Fox Run site to the Beaches site to help build excitement for this year’s event and spread the word about this meaningful cause.Every step brings us closer to a world without cancer. My first Terry Fox Organizer Workshop 🤍What an incredible experience spending the day with organizers and volunteers from across the province — connecting, sharing ideas, learning from one another, and meeting the amazing people behind the important work being done for cancer research.One of the things I appreciated most about this workshop was learning more about the direct impact of every dollar raised through the Terry Fox Foundation, and hearing firsthand about the breakthroughs happening in cancer research from one of Canada’s leading surgeons, Dr. Jonathon Irish. From the advancements in nanomedicine to the use of 4D imaging, it was inspiring to learn how innovation is shaping the future of cancer care. It was also meaningful to be part of the larger foundation and community helping make this work possible.I left feeling grateful, motivated, and even more inspired to continue contributing to Terry’s legacy and the incredible community behind it.Thank you to the Terry Fox Foundation and the team behind it for putting together such a thoughtful and impactful workshop. Thank you to @fourseasons for hosting. Already looking forward to next year.To everyone I had the chance to meet — it was such a pleasure.
