I’ve officially earned my Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business! These past two years have been some of the best and hardest years of my life.

From pivoting my career, navigating marriage, buying a home, losing my grandmother, and traveling to 14 countries… somehow, through it all, I made it.

Thank you to my #TeamFuqua family, my friends, and everyone who supported me along the way. I truly wouldn’t be here without you. And in the middle of it all, I also received another promotion in the pharmaceutical industry.

For the longest time, I thought my life would look completely different by now. I thought I’d be in medical school. But I’ve learned that sometimes the unexpected path leads you exactly where you’re supposed to be. I’m thankful for the opportunity to pivot, grow, and discover a new passion and purpose in the work that I do.

Happy 35th Birthday to me! This year is all about “Transitions.”

This year has been tough, filled with challenges in many forms, so I dedicate this year to transitions. I’ve pivoted in my career and returned to Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Currently, I’m on campus in my first Term 1, preparing for our next term in Thailand in a few months.

I’ve also retired my first car. My 2008 BMW 328i served me well over 300,000 miles. When God spoke to me, He said I needed a new car—maybe not necessarily a 2024 BMW i4 M50, though! I’m blessed to be able.

There are so many more transitions to come, but for now, thank you for all the calls, texts, and wishes.

2019 was an AMAZING year!! I traveled to 21 new countries, seen and explored new people and cultures! Living in China 🇨🇳 has really opened my eyes to this big/small world. Even randomly riding down the streets of Vietnam 🇻🇳, I still managed to run into people that I know lol. Every year of my life has been a blessing and somehow it gets better every year beyond what I could ever imagine. Earlier this year I went Bungee Jumping in Macau 🇲🇴, which is the highest commercial bungee jump in the world. So I’m jumping into 2020 like...... Let’s see how God shows out this year!! Blessings!

Today we prepare to lay my grandmother to rest. Losing you is the hardest thing I’ve ever faced. The epitome of a Christian woman. Strong in faith, overflowing with love, and always standing up for me when it mattered. I’m so blessed to have you as a grandmother!

Her love will never fade, and her legacy will live on in my heart forever.

During my 33rd year of life… My Jesus Year… I spent time on Holy Land!! Flying into Tel-Aviv and visiting those Biblical Sites!! From the Old City in Jerusalem seeing the Church of The Holy Sepulchre to Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity where life began, ended, and resurrected was truly nothing less than a Blessing! So many places that I can’t name them all, that I am honored and grateful to see!! With everything going on in the world… Jesus said he loves me for being exactly who I am!! So if nobody told you today… if you’re reading this… Terry loves you ❤️!! Keep spreading his teachings of love and relationships… that truly has no boundaries!
