HAPPY RELEASE DAY! ‘EAT ME’ by @tessabarcelo and @swordspouse is now streaming everywhere you listen to your music. ‘EAT ME’ is a dark, synthy pop jam inspired by Ianthe and Coronabeth Tridentarius from the Locked Tomb series and it’s the first single off of our upcoming TLT inspired EP “ONE FLESH.” Could we as a society have asked for a better song to represent these toxic twins? Personally, we’re obsessed with it. The breathtakingly weird album artwork you’re looking at was done by the incredible @eernarts. Check out all of her TLT art, as well as her other stuff, because she’s so fabulous. #thelockedtomb #gideontheninth #ianthetridentarius #coronabethtridentarius #books by @tessabarcelo

Hello Book Bards! @tessabarcelo here, and I am so excited to introduce you to my song “Fan the Flames,” inspired by Talasyn in The Hurricane Wars. 🔥 🎨 Art by @bloodbroox I had a lot of fun writing this song and exploring the anger that fuels Talasyn throughout so much of the series. I sat down intending to write a cinematic pop song, but I only had my guitar, so it ended up with a kind of cinematic-folk vibe, à la Paris Paloma (my beloved). 🎶 For production, I of course had to turn to the hero of this project, @lizzyycampbell. Lizzy brought my vision to life in a way I didn’t think possible, and I am eternally grateful to them for working with me on this song. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it! ❤️‍🔥 Comment FLAMES and we’ll send you the pre-save page so it can be yours the moment it drops! #TheHurricaneWars #Talasyn #Romantasy #ThisShatteredTempest #BookishSoundtrack DISCLAIMER: This is an unofficial fan project. a small moment from a bigger conversation on queer literature 📕IFQT! host @zorian_edwards sits down with @tessabarcelo and @giomaria.n from @bookish_songs Collective — an international group of indie artists who create book-inspired soundtracks to popular novels. Their love for books + music has earned them multiple viral hits and the chance to create the official soundtrack for some of their favorite NYT bestselling authors. They’re even working directly with publishers to establish “Original Literary Soundtracks” as a genre. A really cool inspiring segment! It feels like a very full circle moment that my first song on an original literary soundtrack should be for a book written by the woman who inspired me to start writing bookish music in the first place 🥹 Victoria, you are incredible and I’m honored and thrilled to be part of this. I can’t wait for you all to read the book and listen to the soundtrack! 🩷💚💜✨ by @tessabarcelo
