Haven't posted any woodworking shots in a while. Here's a bench I recently finished for The Wife. Lots of carving Walnut, and a little bit of gilding with silver leaf. The tusk tenons are fiddleback maple, carved into tiger's paws. The moon behind the tenon is holly. The matching moon, on the other leg is ebony.
Whole thing took longer than I would've liked, but done well is done.
Keep chugging on your own projects. Eventually, you'll get there.

Occured to me I hadn't posted my most recent finished project. A Roubo frame saw for resawing boards. Three feet and change of blade at 3.5 TPI. The wood is hickory. Yes, it is as hard to carve as you imagine.

Just in case anyone thought I'd stopped woodworking.
Thuya burl scales for a Narex marking knife.
A Kerfing saw made from quartersawn white oak and curly maple, based on Tom Fidgen's design.
(Yes, I cut and sharpened the saw myself. )

So, these happened.
They're not terrible...
But I'm not going to be eating them by the handful.
The popping candy is an interesting add, but the flavor can, overall, be described thusly:
Get a plastic bottle of Coke. Drink the Coke. Put the lid, tightly, back on the empty bottle. Let sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes. Then, open the bottle and suck all the vapors out in one breath...
That taste, in the back of your throat?
That's what these #cocacola #oreocookies taste like.
So, if that's your bag, you're in luck.
As for me?
Not going to be finishing this package any time soon.
