TESS O’RIORDAN she/her

HOMETOWN: Canton, MA

Born and raised on the south shore of Massachusetts, Tess O’Riordan grew up exploring various dance styles. In May, she will be graduating with a BFA in Contemporary Dance, specializing in Dance History. In high school, she was trained with the ABT National Training Curriculum, graduating from the Franklin School for the Performing Arts Ballet Conservatory under the direction of Cheryl Madeux. Throughout her time at BoCo, she has had the privilege of performing works by internationally revered choreographers such as Lar Lubovitch, Dwight Rhoden, and Nicole von Arx. Additionally, she has attended various intensives, including Orsolina28, Gibney, and the American Dance Festival, where she performed a world premiere work by Brian Brooks. Tess is so excited to see what opportunities lie ahead and is endlessly grateful for her growth throughout the last four years!

FUN FACT: She was in the final round of casting to be Dakota Johnson’s body double in “Madame Web.”

This past semester, I had the privilege of diving into “Dvořák Serenade” by Lar Lubovitch for @bostonconservatory’s annual “Limitless” concert.

This masterful work challenged me every day but it was absolutely a labor of love. This piece and this cast were such a gift and they will forever hold a place in my heart. Many thanks to @skarpetowska, @briandavidmcginnis, and @lubovitch for your guidance and care! by @tessoriordan

My time spent in this artistic paradise was so rich with knowledge, curiosity, growth, and gratitude.
