To us, Andy was known as “Bonus” or “The Prize”. And that reigns so true because having him as a dad for half of my life was like winning the lottery. Parental relationships can be so complicated, especially when they are gained later in life, but he never made it so. He was a man of great spirit, big love and little words. With one good look, or a noogie on the head, a sly joke or sweet hand written note, and always an extra tight side squeeze, you knew exactly how he felt. We were family. He was my guy and I was his kid. He was one truly in a million and everybody’s best friend. We are going to miss him every single day. Love you always, my buddy 💜 by @tessuhgee

2024 taught me so much & allowed me to finally heal. I got my little pink apartment in the sky with my BIL, I was welcomed into a new career family with my Smith Group angels, and I got to fall in love with the most fun person I’ve ever met. I made and secured incredible friendships, endured some hardships, and kept my family close. I spent time with new and old friends, took time for myself and for the first time in a very long time, cherished every moment along the way. This year showed me how the world really is not black & white. Thank you to everyone who turned it all technicolor for me. I love you so deeply & look forward to what’s ahead. I’ve posted this post nine times now which means you’ve been gone ten years. That’s a decade. That’s super f-ing uncool. If the love of your people could have kept you alive you’d have lived forever & a day. We miss you man, big time.

Hug your friends, call them when you think about them just to tell them so, don’t take one single second or giggle or text or moment for granted.
