Today I unveil ‘keurslijf’. After ten years of building a couture house and creating collections, one truth has remained constant: none of this would exist without the people standing beside me.The 79 names you see represent the people who have helped build this couture house over the past ten years. Voor de aankomende tentoonstelling 'Reflections on Fashion' werkt co-curator en ontwerper Tess van Zalinge vanuit het museumdepot als haar inspiratiebron 👗✨In haar zaal draait alles om de constructie achter mode. Korsetten, crinolines en verborgen structuren worden dragers van kennis, ambacht en geschiedenis. Van borduurwerk tot reparaties, elk detail vertelt iets over maken, dragen en doorgeven.Als co-curator werkt Tess in het depot waar de collectie van Kunstmuseum Den Haag zich ontvouwt tot een wereld van constructie en verwondering.Toonaangevende ontwerpers en makers kijken naar de grootste mode- en kostuumcollectie van Nederland. In 'Reflections on Fashion' viert het Kunstmuseum 75 jaar modecollectie en ontstaat een nieuw perspectief op iconische ontwerpen uit de modegeschiedenis. Last Thursday was a moment I won’t easily forget. Because it was exciting. Because it was different. And above all, because it felt true.Instead of celebrating 10 years of my label with a traditional show, I chose conversation. A pause. A space for reflection. Because for me, fashion has never been just about clothing, it’s about connection, emotion, and responsibility. About creating a healthier and more meaningful industry.Celebrating 10 years of Tess van Zalinge in the intimate setting of Perdu Theatre, together with people who have each contributed to this journey in their own way, made the evening deeply special. Through conversation, reflection, and live questions, we created space to speak openly about process, beliefs, and the choices that shape this label.But this was only the beginning. Today I celebrate 10 years! And every January 15th I wake up with the same nerves I had in 2016.This marks exactly 10 years since I presented my very first collection, debuting straight onto Amsterdam Fashion Week. And today is extra special, because it’s the official start of my 10th anniversary year. A year that’s already bursting at the seams with plans:w/ 10-year anniversary couture shows (yes, plural!)w/ creative collaborations bigger than bigw/ to close this chapter, my very first solo exhibition opening December 12, 2026 (sorry but… pinch me)I’ve been looking at this year with awe, excitement and a whole lot of nerves. But today it’s here. My label turns 10 and I couldn’t be more ready. All campaign images from the past decade in one carousel.
