Eliminate the backlog of 400,000 untested rapekits & empower healthy & safe communities ending violence against women & children. (smile.amazon.com)

POSTS STORIES REELS

As many of you know, years ago, before MeToo, I started a nonprofit to end the backlog of untested rape kits in the US. I’m proud to say that through our efforts, all 50 states have enacted rape kit reform, in my home state of IL we changed a law to halt statute of limitations until a rape kit was tested & with Gov Pritzker’s help, we have cleared all 2000 backlogged kits and new rape kit laws are on the books including victim notification and rape kit tracking.

Never could I imagine when my sisters are being paraded around Gaza pulled by their hair as their backside is covered in blood, when mother’s, grandmothers and children were so horrifically violated by Hamas terrorists, attacks they themselves gleefully recorded and shared with the world, would the world turn their back. I thought “Never Again” meant never again.

So.

I am transitioning my nonprofit @test400korg to focus on advocating for and supporting Israeli & Jewish rape survivors & victims and their families in their healing & recovery as well as Ukrainian survivors of rape as a weapon of war. I have partnered with @americanfriendsofsheba the largest hospital in the Mideast which you probably saw on the news over the weekend when they accepted a number of hostages including little Emily Hand in addition to a number of Ukrainian survivors before Oct 7. I have been incredibly impressed with their operations & efforts over the last few weeks especially when just hours after the Oct 7 attack, they set up an extra ICU unit and accepted over 300 survivors of the Hamas terror attack.

When Jews give, we often give in multiples of 18 for “chai” or “life” so I will be matching $18x for every dollar up to $30,000 for #givingtuesday. You can give directly to American Friends of Sheba (link in bio, please send me a note so I can match) or DM me to give to Test400k which will direct funds to partners on the ground supporting trauma survivors. (Our website is being recreated to support this new direction.)

My recent post “Unhinged things I did to grow Lifeway into a $220M category killer” resonated so deeply that I knew I had to do a follow-up. Inspired by my friend @ksherm85, who reminded me that beyond building @lifewaykefir , I’ve also used my platform to shine a light on some of the world’s most challenging issues.

I’m humbled by these experiences and the impact they’ve had—not just on my journey, but on the communities I’ve been able to serve.

These are some of the defining moments of my life.
Character is built through unhinged resilience.

Rape is never justified. Rape can never be used as a weapon of war. We must be the voice of those who lost theirs. @allhumanseverywhere #unitedagainstrape by @test400korg

@test400korg commends the team of @thehuntinground for their commitment to speaking truth and giving voice to so many who have felt silenced for decades. We find ourselves at a pivotal point in time where people are leaning into fear and coming forth with bravery and courage to share their truths, their stories. This brings change, hope and begins to destroy the “underlying current of abuse and manipulation at the hands of power.” Thank you to @juliesmolyansky for signing on as an Executive Producer ensuring this important film is created. @timesupnow & truth will be our guide #TimesUp #MeToo #Test400k #ItsAboutJustice #TheHuntingGround by @test400korg
