I’ve been employed for a whole ✨YEAR✨ After being 100% self employed for over a decade I decided to give the corporate game a go.
I have learnt so much, mainly about myself, my capacity to fit into spaces I had previously avoided for fear of being rejected💕
I miss many aspects of being in nightlife full time, I miss the rawness, the openness of people, the adrenaline that comes with live performance.
And in all honesty through this experience I now recognise just how addictive that adrenaline can be✨
But I also recognise that the stability and regulation of my daily routine has done wonders for my physical health, and in turn my mental health🧠
I have learnt that no matter what space I go into I can’t help but be myself, even if that comes at a cost. And although at times it can trip me up it is also my greatest asset 👑
Big up all the people I’ve met along this path so far and on wards and upwards to the next year of growth 🌸

Before I worked in a corporate environment I thought the idea of industry jargon was a joke. But it turns out people do use it, and it can feel low key exclusionary (and if we are being V honest, classist) 💛

Like ever other gay, I live and breathe niche pop culture references. I thought it was all completely useful information that at time I was kind of embarrassed to have. Turns out it’s super useful when you are building creative ideas 💡

I spend half my life feeling like everybody knew something I didn’t know, and shaming myself for not having access to higher education. But it turns out that my lived experience was just as valid as a piece for paper 📝 by @tete_bang
