Have you heard about the transformation happening in academia?

What if research didn’t stop at publications, but became products, solutions and ventures that address real-world challenges?

That’s the transformation @tetfund Alliance for Innovative Research (TETFAIR) is driving.

Last week, researchers and academics from across various tertiary institutions converged at Innov8 Hub for the TETFAIR 2026 Prototype Development Bootcamp; the first phase of turning promising research ideas into tangible prototypes.

But building the prototype is only part of the journey.

Participants also received business support across key areas including pitch deck development, investor pitching, funding opportunities and intellectual property strategy, equipping them to take their innovations beyond the laboratory and into the market.

Because impactful research shouldn't just generate knowledge. It should create solutions. Build ventures. And drive impact. taken in Abuja, Nigeria by @tetfund
