I was in a dream state when I created the painting for the whole album. I used lyrics as texture. I wrote them out and then covered them with layers. Creating and destroying, and living inside the dream….so much like living inside the notes of the music.

Last December we performed at @thesunsettavern for the first time … it’s our favorite place to play in Seattle 🤍.

We’ll be returning this Sunday, September 6th to release our debut LP “Hold the Line”. It’ll be available on Vinyl and CD… streaming will come later… maybe.

Song+Painting
“Snake Escaper”

The idea for this Song+Painting came from a four hour walk along the levee in Troy, Ohio. A friend and I lost track of time following the path beside the Little Miami River.

She told me one horrific thing after another, but what stayed with me wasn’t only what had happened to her. It was the way she had learned to make sense of it.

She had taken it upon herself, as a child, to imagine a world beyond the one she had been given.

She could feel a supportive presence, a sacred feeling, a place she could return to…something she could experience as real and dependable without needing to completely understand or name it. taken in Seattle, Washington by @tetherthestar

“All I Can Do”

I brought this painting to the gallery show last weekend and still feeling the electricity from talking to people about it. It is conceptually linked to a song I wrote and recorded called “All I Can Do” and it was one of my favorite moments of the night, performing it for people. The song is not out yet, it is on my album called “Hold the Line”, released in a few weeks. The show’s at Sunset Tavern in Ballard on Sept. 6th, I hope you can make it out if you’re local. If not, then it will be streaming Sept 16th.
