Sorry…3 fish photos in a row but whoa, they do exist and this past week we have seen a few around on various watersheds around town.

Our own Ethan Barker aka @tetonflytying with one from down south.

Yet another reason fall is our favorite season to fish around Seattle. Swinging flies for steelhead is simply addictive so be careful.

Come see us and we will point you in a good direction and help with therapy if needed.

Our own Ethan Barker whips up his grizzly soft hackle girdle bug primed for the fast approaching creeks and streams season. Take a look in your current box and assess whether or not you’re stocked for the fresh water tributaries in the PNW to be sure you’re ready when the water ways open back up. And as always - questions, comments, concerns, just ask or call the shop, FaceTime us even. And if there’s a fly you’ve been itching to tie and want to learn how, let us know - Now go fishing.

#fliesforalaska

I am auctioning off these 6 steelhead tubes for @millsfly #fliesforalaska auction to help the communities affected by the typhoon earlier this month.

Bidding will take place in the comments of this post with the winner being announced on November 1st. Bidding will start at $50. The winner will be the highest bid placed by noon of November 1st.

These are my best steelhead flies that have produced both summer and winter run fish.

The fly fishing world mourns the tragic loss of John Gierach. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but this writing always inspired me while impacting my philosophy on the sport. Rest easy John. We know you’ve found the eternal St. Vrain. by @tetonflytying
