We had a full weekend doing various Christmas-y things. Attended a a few Marche de Noels, popped over to St Remy, Fontaine de Vaucluse, and others (see stories). Got some nice pics, found a few bits at the markets, enjoyed some vin chaud, crêpes, and chocolat chaud, and overall are just really enjoying the season so far. Hope you all had a lovely weekend as well. I’m going to try to relax and enjoy these last few chaotic days in the run up to Christmas. #christmasseason #marchedenoel #lifeintheluberon #christmasdecoration #christmastrees #joyeauxnoel #santaclausiscomingtotown #christmasstar #porschetractor #vineyards #christmasgifts #reindeer #crepesuzette #café #sorgues #lislesurlasorgue #gordes #cabrieresdavignon #menerbes #lacoste #bonnieux #luberon by @texaninprovence

Stunning photo taken by my husband Andrew a couple of mornings ago. I just love it - the sunrise sky, the mist, the different depths of trees and shadows when you look closely, the olive grove in the foreground. May attempt to paint this one. #sunrisesky #luberon #lifeintheluberon #lifeinprovence #mylifeinprovence #texaninprovence #southoffrance #cabrieresdavignon #olivetrees #olivegrove by @texaninprovence

Took our first night wander (for this trip) through the village last night. Snapped a few pics of the village Christmas decorations. Particularly like the letter box for Pere Noel.🎅🏼🎄🦌 #Noel #perenoel #fatherchristmas #cabrieresdavignon #tistheseason #christmasintheluberon #christmasinfrance #holidaycheer #christmasdecorations #holidaystreetscenes #vaucluse #lifeintheluberon #lifeinprovence #texaninprovence by @texaninprovence

Nine days & counting. Will be so good to be back! Excited to spend our first Christmas in Provence - we have stayed through the first week of December before, but we are usually in the States for the holidays. This year we changed things up. Looking forward to seeing everybody again!🎄🎁🦌⛄️ #happyholidays #christmasinprovence #christmasinfrance #merrychristmas2025 #texaninprovence #lifeintheluberon #lifeinprovence #funinfrance #penguins #icy #skating #skatingrink #holidayspirit #warmandcozy #skijacket #sledding 📸:@stringberry phone case by @texaninprovence

As someone who spent 22 years living in Texas, most of it in Austin, this story hits hard. My heart is absolutely broken for all of the families with missing loved ones, the parents of the Camp Mystic girls, and all of those who have in any way been affected by this devastation. I am posting a link in my bio that lists some of the best ways to help at this time. Let’s please keep all of these people in our thoughts, and pray that more people are rescued alive. #texasfloods #guadalupe #centraltexas #kerrville by @texaninprovence

Was a rainy market morning in Lourmarin this past Friday. But we didn’t mind. We picked up a few staples, and headed over to Cafe Gaby where we snagged a table under the awning, and watched the umbrellas go by. I never do mind a nice light rain shower. I love the way it creates a relaxing stillness and refreshes the colors of the landscape. That said- I’m ready for some warmer temps and sunshine. ☀️ #rainraingoaway #singingintherain #makethemostofit #perfectlyimperfect #lourmarin #lifeinprovence #luberon #lifeintheluberon #marketday #frenchmarket #provençal #texaninprovence #freshproduce #olives #cafecoffee #peoplewatching by @texaninprovence

Thanks everybody for following along in 2024. I have enjoyed sharing this slice of our life with you all. Here’s to happy & healthy 2025. 🥂🍾🎆 #lifeinprovence #lifeintheluberon #provençal #texaninprovence #ourlittlevillagehouse #luberon #frenchvillage #slowlifestyle #myotherlife #cabrieresdavignon #happynewyear2025 #menerbes by @texaninprovence

Went to the marche in Apt yesterday. Was a chilly but beautiful day for wandering those lovely narrow streets lined with market stalls (though far fewer this time of year). Had a friendly chat with a nougat vendor (he was very curious about where we were from), popped into a few shops, and then with our market bag bursting, we found a lovely little cafe for lunch that we hadn’t tried before, to sit for a bit and take in the scene. All in all, a really nice way to while away a couple hours of our time. #marché #saturdaymarket #farmersmarket #frenchmarket #luberon #lifeinprovence #lifeintheluberon #vauclusedepartement #slowlifestyle #lovingliferightnow #villagelife #frenchvillage #texaninprovence #cafelife #frenchcafe #aptmarket #vauclusetourisme #vaucluse84 by @texaninprovence

While I love spending Autumn in Provence, sometimes I do miss being able to decorate our house in the States for Halloween. I went all in! It’s so much fun, and the kids love it. I never tire of the bagpipers in Scotland. Ever. I know they’re a bit divisive - love em or hate em. But I absolutely love them! And I love to see young people carrying on the tradition. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 #bagpiper #bagpipes #scottishtradition #edinburgh #fife #royalmile by @texaninprovence

After a couple of last minute, unplanned days in Glasgow, we are now taking a few days to unwind in one of our very favorite cities - Edinburgh. It’s always nice to be back. It’s so nice to be back in Provence. Haven’t posted much yet, as we’ve had some rather unexpected life snafus to deal with - but I’d rather be dealing with them here than anywhere else. We were able to have a very nice lunch on our 20th anniversary a few days back, and we followed that up with a quick stop in Gordes for macarons from Ladure (my absolute favorite), and un boule du Gelato (yes it was gelato, not glace), another favorite. It was a good day, and a nice casual way to spend our anniversary. Very relaxed. ☺️ Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. Cheers! 🥂 #lifeinprovence #provençal #lifeintheluberon #vauclusetourisme #gelatoitaliano #gordes #lifeinfrance #southoffrance #laidbackliving #macaronlover #hilltopvillage #texaninprovence #lifeisbeautiful #fallishere #bistro #frenchcafe #lifeasart by @texaninprovence
