Lambda Chapter took on DKA Convention and Executives Academy in Boston this month! 🎬⭐️

We connected with the national board, learned how to improve our chapter, heard from filmmakers, mingled with other chapters, and explored Boston!

We can’t wait to take what we experienced back to our chapter!💙💛 by @texasdka

Last week, we had the wonderful opportunity to talk to Austin Film Festival Script Competition Heads, Grace Donaldson and Paige Parker. The Q&A event was insightful and allowed us to find out what a script needs to become an AFF finalist, how their vetting process works, and the opportunities available at AFF! 🎬🌟 by @texasdka

DeKas never underestimate the power of a thank you note! This month, we had a philanthropy event dedicated to thanking the people in our lives, the people who have always supported our endeavors, and the people who are always in our corner! 🫰💕🫶 by @texasdka

Texas DKA wishes you a happy Black History Month!

Our first post of the month honoring Black filmmakers and storytellers highlights a few of many historic Black Oscar winners. These individuals demonstrated great achievement in their craft and broke barriers in the film industry with significant firsts at the Academy Awards.⭐️🎞️

There are many more iconic winners to celebrate, and we encourage you to research them as well. Stay tuned for more this Black History Month! by @texasdka
