A year ago in February @shakeygraves and I went into his studio in North Austin for a week with no real intentions besides capturing moments straight to his Tascam 388 and build something together for the sake of it.

A few weeks later I would find out my wife and I are having a child and so many other aspects to life would start to change. These songs would in many ways end up capturing this era of my life and listening to Alejandro piece the rest of the record together I’d start to hear his side of a similar story of the passing of time. We have written many songs over the years but these feel extra special and true. Grateful to have a lifelong friend who is also one of my favorite people to create with.

Three of these songs from that session can be found on his new album “Fondness, Etc.”

Our first EP “The Right Way To Do Wrong” is out today. Recorded in Nashville, TN at @battletapes with @joebisirri. This record is the first group of songs we wrote and immediately felt like we found a sound worth chasing. Thanks to anyone who has already found us and listened to these songs, music now more than ever is fighting for everyone’s attention so we appreciate when anyone reaches out or takes the time to listen to the music we’ve made. Hope you enjoy this collection of songs and many more on the way.

“Long Distance Business Call” is officially out in the world.
One of our favorite songs we recorded at Battle Tapes, originally starting out as an acoustic song. The song is about the struggle of traveling for work, the weight of missing your family and the dream of giving it all away for a double wide trailer where the sun hits the mountains.

A couple months ago we set up inside @soft__junk in Nashville, TN to record a live version of “Mad Imagination” stripped back with just acoustic and electric guitar to display the way this song was originally written.
