Textile Sector Skill Council Participates in CXO Meet on Captive Employment under DDU-GKY 2.0 The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) participated in the CXO Meet for Captive Employment under DDU-GKY 2.0, held on 13 October 2026 at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur, hosted by the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC). TSC’s CEO, Dr. Swapna Mishra, participated in the deliberations and shared a presentation on TSC’s role, initiatives, and opportunities for strengthening industry-aligned skill development in the textile sector, in line with the agenda on Emerging Job Roles, Industry Demand and Support from Sector Skill Councils. The meet brought together representatives from the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of Rajasthan, industry associations, industry partners, Sector Skill Councils, and State Skill Development Missions to deliberate on the framework, opportunities, and way forward for captive employment under DDU-GKY 2.0. The discussions focused on aligning skilling initiatives with industry manpower requirements, strengthening industry–government partnerships, addressing implementation challenges, and creating sustainable employment opportunities for skilled candidates. Building a Skilled Workforce for a Stronger Textile Ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh! 🧵 The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) was pleased to participate in the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026, held from 25–29 September 2026 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. As part of the event, TSC participated in the Industry Roundtable with the CEO, Invest UP, bringing together key stakeholders from the textile and apparel ecosystem to discuss opportunities for strengthening Uttar Pradesh as a preferred destination for textile investment, manufacturing and exports. 🧵 Building Skills, Creating Opportunities | TSC–Calderys Katni The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC), in collaboration with Calderys Katni, conducted a community-focused skill awareness and mobilisation programme on 16 September 2026, engaging students, spouses of officers, and families of contract workers. The sessions focused on: 🔹 Textile-sector career opportunities and skill pathways 🔹 Textile value chain and emerging opportunities 🔹 Entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities 🔹 Skill, employment and career aspirations 🔹 Opportunities for skill development and industry-linked careers The interaction provided an opportunity to understand participants’ aspirations and identify potential candidates for a longer-duration training programme at the Calderys Katni Skill Centre. 🤝 Special thanks to Ms. Utsavi Deepak for facilitating the engagement, and to Sanra S from The Handloom School and Ravinder Kumar Saha from Sagar Manufacturers Pvt Ltd for participating in the sessions and sharing valuable perspectives on skills, careers and opportunities in the textile ecosystem. 🇮🇳 Empowering Young Minds Through Skills | Skill Manthan Workshop 2026 The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) was privileged to participate in the Skill Manthan Workshop organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) on 5th September 2026 at DG NCC Camp, Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi. The workshop provided an excellent platform to engage with NCC cadets and create awareness about the vast opportunities available in the Textile & Handloom Sector. 🧵 During the session, TSC showcased: 🔹 Emerging career opportunities across the textile value chain 🔹 Industry-relevant NSQF-aligned job roles and skill pathways 🔹 Entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities 🔹 Opportunities in Technical Textiles, Handloom, Textile Manufacturing and Recycling 🔹 Government-led skilling and entrepreneurship initiatives 🔹 Pathways for youth to build careers and enterprises through skills TSC also interacted with cadets, encouraging them to explore skill-based careers, entrepreneurship and innovation and contribute to India’s growing textile ecosystem.
