POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My earliest memory in life is dunking.

Not MJ. Not Nique.
It was Otis Smith in the 1988 Dunk Contest… catching it off the backboard and slamming it so hard it sounded like a firework. The crowd booed… but I was hooked for life.

From that moment on, I was obsessed.

At 13, I got my first dunk… and never looked back.
What people called “weird” or “lazy”… I now understand was something deeper. Dunking gave me structure, purpose, and control when I needed it most.

I was told at Estero High School:
“Dunking will get you nowhere in life, Mr. Millan.”

He wasn’t wrong… because there was no path.

So I built one.

With Tim Lowe and a random internet friend who became a lifelong brother, Anthony Petosa…

Team Flight Brothers.

No blueprint. No money. Just belief.

Because to me, dunking was never a highlight.

It was the main event.

And now…

Team Flight Brothers is closing its doors after 22 years.

Not because we failed…
But because we succeeded.

The lane exists.
The culture exists.
The opportunity exists.

And now I’m stepping forward.

Alongside Shaquille O’Neal, Colin Smeeton, Tayler Kehs, Authentic Brands Group, and my brother Anthony Petosa…

We’ve launched The Dunkman League.

The world’s first professional dunk league.

For the first time ever… dunkers are not performers.

They are professional athletes.

Before I close this chapter..

To My family and friends that have relentlessly supported me

This was never just my dream.
It was all of ours.

I did it. I turned my dreams into reality.
We built what didn’t exist.
Now we’re building what lasts.

Welcome to Dunkman.

No commentary needed.

Just Doug Anderson’s windmill elbow and the sound of the arena. 🔊
