It's been a month since Platforms Project ended. This year, Adrien Chevrier and I were invited by the Théâtre Dionysos et Apollon to take in charge the artistic conception of their stand for the independent art fair Platforms project.
The question then was how, in the condition of an art fair, to best represent this atypical living art space that is the Théâtre Dionysos et Apollon ? How to pay tribute to the dedicated work of its director, Joëlle Montech, who built this bunker of kindness, respect, creativity, freedom and festivity, in the heart of Athens ?
Therefor we choose as structuring pillars : diversity, trust, live and play.

We proposed to see the stand as a theatre stage and to read the four days of the event in four dramatic acts: the prologue, the rise, the climax and the fall.
We invited 21 artists from different fields to occupy the 12m2 stand for an hour each, free to present their work and invite other participants.

It was quite exciting not knowing exactly how it would all work out. Indeed there were rules, prior coordination work, but the "unknown" vector was quite important however necessary for this organisation to become a collaboration, a singular piece. One of them was that we couldn’t anticipate how a project like that will interact in the context of an art fair...
And what a joy it was to witness such a beautiful story with a warm and supportive audience.

Thank you to each of the artists, for their integrity, for the generosity of their work, for playing the game 100%, for taking care of each other, and also for trusting us.

And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing that we can base collaborations on trust and respect. Thank you all and thank you to the organisation of Platforms project for their support.
