A story that spawned from my battle with depression, which forced me to question what life is really about. Why do we feel the need to follow other people’s rules or live by societal norms, especially when we are not being derogatory towards anyone?I have always wrestled with the meaning of existence. Can someone truly self-exist? Or are we all living in one big interconnected bubble where every decision affects someone else? Why must I have to consider others before making personal choices? The ripple effect of choices extends beyond an individual, affecting those around them and potentially influencing the broader world. So I carefully tread my choices. But why?Existentialism taps into those kinds of questions. Like saying yes to something you don’t want or saying no to something you do. Some might see Robert’s choices as mentally unstable. Others might see him as finally finding clarity.Did Robert treat Jennifer unfairly? Or is he just struggling with his mind, lucky to have a wife like Jennifer who’s trying to save him and their marriage?
