I truly believe that behind almost every successful man is an amazing woman who believed in him, even when nobody else did. ❤️ I’m beyond thankful that I got it right at just 15 years old. She’s been my rock, my biggest supporter, and a blessing in my life. Wouldn’t change a thing. Here’s to a lifetime of love, loyalty, and success together. 🥂 by @thackwolf

Since I was a young boy in the early ’80s, the whitetail deer has held a special place in my heart. My uncle and grandfather introduced me to the passion of pursuing this magnificent animal, and more than 40 years later, I’m still giving it everything I’ve got. 🦌

Over the years, I’ve learned that it’s about so much more than the harvest. It’s the quietness of the woods, the early mornings, the memories made, the anticipation, and the thrill of the chase. Every time I step into the woods, I’m reminded of why this way of life means so much to me. It brings me peace, keeps me grounded, and makes life feel even more meaningful.

I’m truly blessed to still be doing what I love. As long as the good Lord allows me to walk through those woods, I don’t see myself slowing down anytime soon.

More than 40 years later, the passion remains the same, and the love for the chase will never fade. 🌲🦌 by @thackwolf

When finding a new hunting spot, I like to start by setting a fixed stand. Pay close attention to where the sun rises and sets, because you can use that to your advantage. Always look for a tree that helps keep you from being silhouetted while providing some natural cover and protection.

Double-trunk trees are always preferred when you can find them! Having a fixed stand gives you a reliable go-to spot as long as the wind direction is right. From there, you can bounce around and adapt to changing conditions with your Lone Wolf Custom Gear mobile system.

Hunt smart, stay concealed, play the wind, and always Hang on! 🦌🤟🏼🏹 by @thackwolf

I had a young Buck come in tonight with a slight limp. After he got in the open I noticed he had a big club foot! What would cause something like this? Birth defect or infection I am guessing? by @thackwolf

Back in my younger days, it was nothing for me to take a big buck, throw him in the back of my Toyota, and head down to the local country store. There was something special about visiting with the locals, sharing stories, and having your picture taken with a Polaroid.

There was no shame—only pride, respect, and celebration. We were proud of the deer we took and always respected the animal and the hunt. After all, the chase is what it’s really all about.

October is upon us, and it’s still my favorite time of year! 🦌🍂

Good luck this season. Enjoy the outdoors, make some memories, and always be proud of the hunt. by @thackwolf

What an amazing opener of the VA season! The buck I was after in the morning.. hunted in the rain till 11am & he shows at 4pm , but I was on another farm by then for the evening hunt & had a 140-150” 10pt …10 yards, but got stuck trying to pull back on him & he got nervous and trotted off. Even though I didn’t get it done, I had the opportunity and that’s all you can ever ask for 😇 🤟🏼 by @thackwolf
