I DID IT MOM! 🥹Unfortunately my mom passed earlier this week and it’s been a really hard time. Even typing this is making me tear up. So I’ll try to keep it short and simple. Thank you all for the support❤️‍🔥Today on December 13th, 2025 I officially became an ALUMNI FROM ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY 🐏🥳! I truly love EVERYONE that I’ve met while on this journey and I hope to see everyone again in the future. So like our guest speaker said today….So now what? What will life bring us next? With it being one more day before I walk the stage I had to talk about where it all began! Being the mascot was really the turning point for my ASU pride. Before the cameras, the content, the cheer team, and everything else I grew into on this campus, it started with me stepping into that suit and realizing I was representing something bigger than myself. That mascot era taught me confidence, connection, and what it really means to carry school spirit on your back — literally. It was the first time I felt like I was truly part of the heartbeat of THEE Unsinkable Albany State University, and looking back now… that was the moment my school pride was born. 🐏 To ASU Cheer, Omg🥹! My time on this team has been nothing but memorable and heartfelt. I love each and every one of y’all, no matter what we’ve been through. And I mean it when I say I’m always just one call away. From those 4AM practices to the battles we fought together on the field and basketball court, it was truly an honor to cheer beside every single one of you. I’ll never forget the late-night cries, the parties we survived, and those petty brother-and-sister arguments that low-key made us stronger. I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.To my Coaches, Thank you for everything. the lessons, the discipline (especially being late for practice), the laughs, and for showing me what it REALLY means to be an Albany State Cheerleader. Wow… In T–minus 3 days I will be walking the stage at THEE Unsinkable Albany State University with a Bachelor’s in Mass Communication, concentrating in Media Arts; Minor in Psychology. This journey is finally coming to an end, and as I enter my last days as an undergraduate student, I have to say — the Mass Comm Department is truly my family.From late nights in the Mac Lab to the productions we pulled off together, every moment and every person has shaped me into who I am today. Over the last 5 years, I’ve grown not just as a creator, but as a person. ASU has proven time and time again that our department really does have the closest student relationships on campus, and we show that every day through our bond, teamwork, and creativity.To my professors — thank you. I’ve cried in front of y’all (Today Actually), learned from y’all, and gained wisdom I’ll carry for life. You pushed me, supported me, and opened doors I never imagined walking through.And as I stand here getting ready to graduate, I can’t help but think about the journey.A boy from Clayco, first-gen, beating the odds one step at a time.Everything I’m doing now, and everything I’m about to step into, is for my mom.The goal is clear: making it to TMZ and making her proud.I’m claiming it, manifesting it, and grinding for it every day.Because of this department, I’m confidently stepping into my next chapter — and heading to grad school next August.
