What a day.
Elite National Camp 2026 just wrapped and the turnout was elite. Young men showed up ready to work, compete, and put themselves on the map.

This isn’t the finish line. This is the start of growing American football in Australia the right way pathways, standards, and opportunities that actually change lives.

1. Be physically and mentally ready to be pushed to your limits. College football is a different level. The practices are harder, the competition is better, and nobody really cares how good you were in high school. You have to be prepared to get uncomfortable, get pushed, and still show up ready to work every single day.

2. Play local football. Before you start worrying about going across the country or getting recruited by a big-name school, get on the field and play. Find the best competition available to you, get reps, build film, and learn how to compete. You don’t need to wait for a college coach to give you an opportunity. Go out and prove that you can play.

3. Get your academics right. Football can get you noticed, but your grades can determine what opportunities are actually available to you. Take school seriously, understand the academic requirements, and give yourself as many options as possible.

4. Make sure you get the right visa. If you’re planning on playing football in another country, understand the legal side of it. Know what visa you need, what you’re allowed to do, and what requirements you have to meet. Don’t leave that until the last minute. Do your homework.

5. Be comfortable being uncomfortable. You’re going to be away from home. You’re going to have bad practices, bad games, injuries, setbacks, and days where you question whether you belong. That’s part of it. The sooner you learn to embrace those uncomfortable moments instead of running from them, the faster you’re going to grow.
