@wisemanbeer 8/11/26 With @kassemwilliamsmusic and @johndanielray_ laying it down. Pocket so deep I get lost in there sometimes.

“Jean Pierre” is an overlooked classic, peak late Miles. Just enough of a sketch to make a song, and it goes anywhere. We like it. Full video on my YouTube. #jazz #telecaster #jazzguitarist #winstonsalemmusic by @thanward

Jazz guy goes twang. Photo/Video drop from last weekend VA and PA with Alex Key. Played a couple of really fun shows, getting humbled learning new tricks. Next show Kansas City 9/5.

1) 8/21 Grundy, VA

2) 8/22 Versailles, PA

The set list of a man who remembers 97% of what he needs to, playing 2 guitars tuned differently, sometimes with a capo.

Some tunes are like stories that grow in the telling. John’s “Scratch n Sniff” is one of these tunes that I think of as a yardstick. I can listen to multiple recordings of it over the years and hear growth in all of us. #jazzguitarist #winstonsalem #telecaster by @thanward

Experiment the Experience! Playing with @michaelkinchen_ and @thanward on his tune heliotrope! Sometimes you have to allow your brain to shut off and allow your heart to play! Playing @reverie_cymbals @timothy_roberts_cymbals #drummer #explore #music #pocket #groove by @thanward

On boarding a ton of new songs and tricky solos for a series of shows I’ll be guesting on this Fall. New bag of tricks for sure! I love this stuff, and it’s humbling. #chickenpickin #countryguitar #northcarolina #alexkey #telecaster by @thanward

A Mother’s Day to remember!!!

Our students showed up and showed out on Mother’s Day, for our spring celebration. We are always grateful for the love and support that parents, families and friends show during our celebrations; a packed house, with no seating left, couldn’t have been a more rewarding turnout for our hardworking students and guest-performers!

🗣️ COME ONE, COME ALL!!! Join us for our annual spring celebration and community jam. We’re pumped! It’s going to be loads of fun and exciting moments with our guest, instructor and student-led performances. Enjoy refreshments and join in the fun with our community jam; an opportunity for all that attend, along with our community of students and instructors, to play songs together in harmonious fellowship!

Plus, we’ve got some tokens of gratitude for our wonderful mothers that will be in the building on May 10th. We can’t wait to celebrate with you. PLEASE NOTE: our celebration is family-friendly, free and open to the public. Link in our bio to rsvp!

Just me, good ol’ not fun at parties Ward, with a St.Patrick’s day lesson on musics of resistance. Come on down to @wisemanbeer 7-9:30 to hear what Celtic fusion sounds like. I’m wearing a green sweater. Stop it.
