Tharushi Weerakoon’s Colonial Reverie brings Sri Lankan church architecture into couture, translating histories of Dutch, British, and Portuguese colonization into a fashion narrative grounded in resilience. Developed at AMDT School of Creativity, the collection is enriched with traditional Sri Lankan craft through batik and brass, honoring the beauty shaped by local hands despite the weight of foreign rule.
