Sample of Sifu Bryant Fong teaching a class on Chen Hunyuan Taiji, training the class on the first 3 sections of a curated 12 Movement Form.

The class is part of the National Chinese Wushu Association (NCWAA) efforts to share material and practice together, promoting health and wellness.

If you’re interested in joining, we do have the Cal Taiji classes kicking off again 10/26. Sifu teaches in a wide capacity but will also join me on Wednesdays and a Fridays at UC Berkeley with the new class offerings. I will be teaching on Mondays. Come join us! by @that_emcee_guy

We had a fun time yesterday at the 15th Annual Mid-Autumn Harvest Festival which took place at the Tenderloin Rec Center in San Francisco. As an ongoing partnership with the Au Co Vietnamese Cultural Center nonprofit, we were happy to participate with @calwushu to perform alongside the other cultural community groups representing the diverse demographics of the city and greater San Francisco Bay Area. Lots of great food, music, visual arts, and dance to be had! by @that_emcee_guy

In the busyness of our world today, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses… or look at the vegetables, say hi to the bees, make friends with the windmill, and admire a butterfly at rest. by @that_emcee_guy

There was no way we would miss the Fossil Pokemon exhibit at the Chicago Natural History Museum. Soooo cool to see! We had tickets months in advance and well worth it. It was a great blend of the in-game lore and real paleontology. Would recommend! by @that_emcee_guy

Day 2 of Caltopia is done and we had another great turnout for UCMAP. Over 470 people came today to see the short format demo lessons at the RSF - and a lot of interest shown for Taiji with what we have to offer. Classes start up this Wednesday 8/26 and here’s hoping for a good start of the Fall semester. by @that_emcee_guy

Day 1 of Caltopia is in the books with more tomorrow. Bright and early 10am doors should open up for RSF as we promote Cal Taiji, Wushu, Karate, Judo, YMD, and Taekwondo. Hoping we get a good turnout again and help the incoming students feel welcome. by @that_emcee_guy
